I like your reaction! Band-Maid is definitely worth as deep a dive as you can manage: lots of great and varied songs. You're safe choosing at random from their channel. You might not love every song, but there are no stinkers.

"Possibly my new favorite." As we Madiacs often say, your favorite Band-Maid song is the last one you listened to. Can't wait for you to react to more when you have the time. Rock on, DLD!

Not sure why I missed this, but hey great job, Lonely Dreamer. You'll never be lonely with Band-Maid or the maidiacs!! My favorite band for almost 6 years. I've lived a long time and I've seen a lot of legends but this band has a combination of chops, songwriting and fun that I've NEVER seen before.

kanami's pedal box is about 6k worth of equipment according to the breakdown and she sure knows how to do her settings

I wonder if her new guitar is just as costly as her petal board. It is so gorgeous!

Thank you for the reaction. I can't tell how many times I've watched this performance, probably more than 100 times, no kidding, and I'm still amazed every time. This live version of Hate? is so incredible and I'm probably gonna watch it 100 times more. From Now On is a good one too!

Bandmaid keeps eclipsing every other hard rock band out there IMHO. There are some niche bands I love who are currently on the scene. They're fantastic! There are old prog bands I still pull up and use to nourish my soul. But BandMaid continue to come out on top everytime. Best band out there.

Yes, a new album is coming out on 9/25. And your first live reaction? That's OK, as this is only your fourth song, and actually 3rd, as Band-Maid with The Warning, is a collaboration piece which was a blend of the two band's sounds. So you still have a very deep and diverse pigeon-hole to dive into, only 130ish great songs to go. So enjoy the journey. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘 As for a next song...if you want to stay with live... "Freedom" OLMV you mentioned the drummer...Akane has a really nice place to shine in this one. They are having so much fun while performing and is currently the song played the most from all of their tour shows. "Domination" OLMV was the "go to" song suggested for first time listeners to Band-Maid. "Puzzle" OLMV all the pieces fall into place with this one. This one will get you going. "Don't You Tell Me" OLMV another one from the Yokohama 10th Anniversary Tour Finale which "Hate?" was shot. Kanami (lead guitar) & MISA (bass) have another nice conversation. "About Us" OLMV a song for us, the Masters and Princesses (what the Maids call us fans), as they thought of us during the pandemic lockdown. "Manners" and "Black Hole" from their Online Live Show, one of a bunch of shows live shows they did online to keep the music going for us. A great two-for reaction showing two different sides of the Maids. "Manners" a bluesy/groovy song and "Black Hole" a speed demon of a song. Their current fastest bpm song which lets you experience the chaos of being sucked into a black hole. Songs tops out at 220bpms. But wait, don't only limit yourself to lives, as there are other really good OMV's, like "Daydreaming" and "Blooming" two of my favorites. And then there's "Thrill", their first OMV and the MV which saved the band. "Alone" the first song written by the Maids which was approved by the label. One of the turning points in Band-Maid's history and haven't looked back since.

Thanks from Japan 有難う 💛。 My wife and I witnessed this very performance at the venue on Nov.26, last year. We were in bliss going through very exciting 3-hour-40-minute-long show with 33-song setlist. (Happy fatigue thereafter 😄) Note : This song was also played at Lollapalooza festival in Chicago last year with this bass / guitar battle. The title of this song is interesting. As you said it is "Hate?", with question mark. The lyric is a little bit contradictory or ambivalent. If the girl hates the guy so intensely, why she hanged around with him so long enough to know his daily behavior (10 minutes of limp gymnastics 🤣 etc.) Is she giving him the last chance to restore their relationship or trying to destroy it seriously ? That is the point I talked with my wife on my way home.

Lovin' your reactions to The Maids. Since you mentioned Sleater-Kinney and Silver Sun Pick-Ups, you might want to check out Hitsujibunkaku's (say THAT three times fast) song "Addiction". The distortion is AWESOME! (Great song too!). BTW, Band-Maid is the best, most complete band I've had the privilege of experiencing, and I'm a zillion years old! 😂🕊

@hookstrpd haha! Fair! All great picks! Especially "Start Together" I LOVE the opening chords and vocals of that one. I'll end up just hitting back to hear it over and over and not get through the whole song lol

Better than QOTNSA IS Homme’s earlier band, KYUSS. Try the WELCOME TO SKY VALLEY disc. Have you heard the all-female Japanese bands NEMOPHILA, LOVEBITES, HANABIE, KOIAI, or TRIDENT? Please don’t compare every Japanese band to BABYMETAL.

Check my rock playlist 😊 Babymetal is the all- woman or woman-led Japanese metal band I've known the longest and know the best. It's just natural that they come to mind. I'm discovering more, such as Band-Maid now, through this channel. Thank you for watching.
