One of the reasons for Band-Maid's success is that they always leave you wanting for more. More drum solos, more guitar licks, more thundering bass, more Miku with her Flappy Pigeon and more dazzling vocals. Guitar and Bass duets are relatively rare for them, and they are likely to remain that way as they want their audience to crave for, well, more. Band-Maid is a sweet addiction that many love to experience without any harmful side effects. Except perhaps to the pocketbook if one buys mech and all their great albums, but many feel this is a worthwhile expense to show support for their favorite band of maids.

That’s their stock in trade. Live concerts that are so tight you think they’re playing a recording. They’re not. They’ve played over two thousand live shows the last 10 years. They got it down.

If they did guitar/bass duels all the time it wouldn't be as special anymore. They basically do the duel thing for a few songs each tour and I think that's enough. This was song #27 out of 33 for this show btw.

Good point. If bandmaid did the guitar/bass duels all the time it wouldn't be special. It would become an expectation, and it could lose its charm. But we all know, if the band wanted to, they could pull it off. 😏

No the song is about Saiki best friend during lockdown. Her husband had an affair with another women and broke Saiki's friends heart. Saiki wrote the lyrics as if she was her friend. It apparently had to be edited by Miku as it was harder hitting.

@@Kevin6059You really dont need to "hear about" Miku editing. Take it on faith since Miku does editing on the lyrics most (if not all) of the time. She has a better understanding of transitional language and word play than most professors who teach language. I would suggest watching some bios on this phenomenal tiny pigeon to get an understanding of just how much research Miku does on every song.

@@jeffreyrigby2387 I think I've seen most. Been a Maidiac for over four years, so of course I know she did most of the lyrics. I didn't know she edited other people's lyrics from the band however. I probably knew it once and forgot. She is a great inspiration to me that pigeon.
