"Play" was to be an instrumental, but the girls also decided to sing so next the lyrics were written. Probably why so many la-la-la in the chorus. Band-Maid's studio videos are good but the Live concert stuff is much better. More energy and you can see how much fun they are having on stage and with their fans. I have seen them twice here in LA and each time was a blast

Band-Maid is relentless quality! Their live stuff really shines with extra solos and battles.

They write, arrange and produce their own songs. It works like this; Kanami (lead guitar) writes the music, which is sent to MISA (bass) and Akane (drums) to fill, Miku (vocals, guitar) writes the lyrics. Currently Saiki (vocals) is inputing to the lyrics. This is done via the internet. Next into the studio for all to complete the song. All take part in the finalization of the song. Prior to joining the band all were working musicians/singer primarily in session and backing vocals work. MISA, Akane and Kanami were playing piano at 6 yo. They are the best Rock n Roll band right now worldwide. Waiting for their return to LA. Everybody BE SAFE!

i love your reaction to bandmaid, the last lady i saw react to music, she reacted to metallica live in russia 1991. celebrating a change in russia after many years, the crowd was mindblowing. although the crowd loved metallica. most people didnt understand what was happening for the russian people. so glad everyone there got to see what we have enjoyed for years.

The song is a few years old, but they just posted a live performance video to their official channel of the song "Domination" & it's spectacular!! It was recorded at Line Cube Shibuya in Tokyo on 14 February, 2020 as was posted as a little teaser for their upcoming DVD release next month.
