I was present at the parade, as one of the Air Cadets lining the streets. I remember standing right on the corner near a HSBC bank I think, and as the band went past I felt the music pass right through me... Makes me proud to be British!

I admit knowing nothing about Thetford but this fine band and fine servicemen and women deserve to be seen/welcomed by many more spectators. It was great to see the Air Cadets in attendance and acting so regimental. Thanks very much for posting.

Goodness. that's a slightly morbidly portly individual leading the band there...

Oh dear, is lumpy DM struggling with her state march a bit?

Bitch keep your mouth shut if you have nothing nice to say

Would addressing someone as “Bitch” fall into that category?

@@shaimasharif82 Are you also that a requirement to be in the RAF Regiment theres a standard of fitness to maintain to carry out their tasks. Whether in a band or not she is wearing the corps shoulder flashes and not a very good example of someone in uniform. What's worrying is theres a health and fitness criteria when joining and a minimum fitness requirement

@@dellx3048 I’m extremely late but the title is wrong on the video. As well as this, the RAF Musician role or DM role isn’t linked to the RAF Regiment AT ALL, they were simply parading with them.

Folks, i post these videos because it's something i really enjoy and i like to share them with you all, but i would appreciate it if you could refrain from making such personal remarks, i'd rather you thumbs down the video than make the sort of comments that have been made. I don't want to disable comments on videos but i will if i continue to get these type of comments. I appreciate that some people have quite strong views on things but a liitle respect is not too much to ask for is it? There seems very little of it about in this country lately. Thanks.

You know you can censor comments yourself? Especially unkind, personal, unnecessary comments? Feel free to delete them 👍

I agree some comments are a bit personal but i have to also say having served in the RAF Regiment there is a standard of fitness required. In all my adult life i have a great love for the RAF Regiment and its band but the DM looked out of place and even the belt couldn't be positioned in the correct place. If you feel the need to delete me thats fine but presentation and deportment are important and i dont think im being personal and its my opinion.

Agreed but we should not be too broad in defining a "personal" attack. Common sense, respect, and civility should always come into play.

Good God....that has to be the absolute worse Drum Major I've ever seen lead a UK military band. She needs help.

If I were to judge some of these comments as quickly as they have judged this video, I could easily say they are pretty shallow individuals who, for some reason, feel they have the right the make spiteful comments just because they have some military experience. But who am I to judge?

As an ex serving member in the RAF Regiment for 15 years I've paraded in front of royalty. Escorted the Queens colour for Germany and No1 fighter squadron and done numerous parades I feel I'm more than justified in legitimate comments. Wearing the RAF Regiment shoulder flashes (mudguards) has a pride of being in an elite combat force which has physical fitness standards. The RAF Regiment bands secondary duties are casualty handling and still needs a degree of fitness to perform this. You may think me personal but the drum major falls well below that standard

Needs more Trombone ....

5.09....After the countermarch the trombone halt {almost} ... I can think of a few Raf Drum Majors and Bandmasters who would be sad to see the standard of drill today.

The overall Parade was great but the drum major... I’m wondering if she’s even passing the minimum health and fitness standard...
