Ah yes, 3 of my favourite marches are played. Btw, my brother, who's currently a Corporal in the Singapore Police Force, marched to "Glorious Victory" when entering HTA's (Home Team Acadamy) parade square. Ah, the pride! Sarafand ain't bad either.

i am from the netherlands and i like this music very much, but i have 2 questions wy does the guy with the flag by the right turn in te begin of the video his flag over his shoulder and why do they saluut the horse gard thank you I understand that you don't do it in dutch ha ha This a good answer so i can understand what and why they are doeing it thanks for that... I have another question maybe you know that why whenthe guard is out of the baraks and on the street you see the last 2 soldier runnen up front and take ther place next to the flag and when they arive the hold and take there place at the and again why are the doeing that

The colour (flag) is held at the slope position, staff over the shoulder, to give the ensign (the bloke carrying it) a bit of a rest while on the march. The colour is held at the carry, straight up and down, at the start and end of the parade or if a senior officer or dignitary is encountered en route. The salute is given to the Life Guards’ standard (the flag equivalent of the infantry colour) I am not military so hope I haven’t got any of this wrong. Sorry I can’t do this in Dutch. Your English is about a hundred times better than my Dutch.

The two soldiers who run from the back are junior non commissioned officers there role is to protect the color when on the streets. If there is no colors like at Windsor they will protect the commanding officer. On returning to the safety of the palace or barracks they return to the rear of the formation

Always wondered - maybe someone here has the answer - why do certain soldiers swing their arms opposite the rest of the troop?

Depends on what your holding!

The music is to remain silent as the household cavalry passes so it doesn’t spook the horses and word of commands can be heard for saluting as both regiments pass each other.
