This song starts with an immediate uplift from the intro. It starts with Akane's drums, followed by Saiki's "Jump! Jump!" and Kanami's guitar. Then comes Miku's "Lu-lulu-". Moreover, Misa's bass growl is heard throughout the entire song. The switching between pick and slap really shines. Overall, each member's individuality is very well expressed in the song, and yet they harmonize to create an uplifting tune. The song not only conveys Kanami's growth as a composer, but also the evolution of the band as a whole, while also showcasing the recent energetic state of BAND-MAID.

@@fernandoNovo59 Oh, you are so fortunate that you discovered them earlier and were able to see the 2019 NYC show! That show had the famous "Misa nose hole" incident, right? I'm envious! Agreed, it'd be great to see them in Montreal or Toronto. (I'd love to see future documentary footage of the first time they try poutine!) I'd imagine plenty of U.S. Maidiacs would make the drive up, too. Would love to see them play at MTELUS or Club Soda, although a Maidiac's dream obviously would be to see them one day sell out the Bell Centre.

I liked the studio track just fine but I became a believer in it when I saw it live. It was their best song of the night. It belongs in every setlist and deserves to be the big finale (endless story being more of a farewell/encore doesn’t really count bc it’s a ballad and serves a different purpose).

Hey Bob. I haven’t been around as much to catch your videos but you are on point as usual. Besides all the members of Band-Maid being masters (or mistresses if you prefer😊) including Saiki, of their instruments there are other things I really love about them. Misa has this hybrid technique where she can switch from picking to slap/popping seamlessly. I’ve heard very proficient bass players and teachers who have said they are in awe of it and they can’t do it themselves. The composition techniques they use are a rare thing in rock music, unless one goes back to the late 60’s and 70’s when bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, etc, we’re making a giant leap forward for rock n roll. Kanami, who basically lays out her ideas to the band, really is an amazing composer. Then other members like Misa and Akane add their own ideas to what Kanami brings. Not enough is said about Miku’s ability to harmonize with Saiki. I love when bands are playing a song and they don’t do what one would expect. Another band like this is Nightwish. One more thing for me is how much fun they have on stage. It’s refreshing to see that enjoyment from a band.

Yet the American music industry, music/concert promoters and music broadcast media still ignore Band Maid (and, generally, all of the all-female Japanese metal and hard rock bands). You should react to this guitarist by the name Alip Ba Ta. Never have I seen some one play like this. If he covers a song, he plays the melody, bassline, vocal, and percussion all on acoustic guitar. He also has some original songs which might enjoy a watch. Amazing what a forklift operator from Indonesia can accomplish. My favorites are his rendition of Gary Moore's still got the blues, Dream theater - another day, Micheal Jackson - black or white, Linkin Park - numb, juli97, which is an original piece. The primary downside I have is that although Miku is fine when she sings, her regular voice just does not mesh with me, it's a bit too much "little kid" for my liking. So this video lacks any crowd mixing which is an absolute shame because when you’re there, especially in America, the crowd does indeed sing along to the chorus and Miku’s “Lululu x2” bits, so much so that Saiki doesn’t even sing half of the vocables and the crowd carries the part. It’s why I actually prefer fancams to this video because a decent fancam captures what it’s like to be there even moreso than this does. Also this song had an instrumental intro they removed from this video for some reason. The song itself is an absolute banger and is now being used as their big finale for this tour. I completely agree with the decision and advocated as much after seeing them last fall where No God was indeed the most fun song of the night.

For the past 3 or 4 weeks, since I received the DVD of this 26 song concert, I've been doing my utmost to wear it out. They performed an instrumental intro to NO GOD this time but it was an addition to the song and they didn't include it when releasing this MV. In Japan, it's considered OK to sing along with the backing vocal harmonies but not with the main vocalist. Which is probably why (at 0:43 and 3:37 for example) Miku laughs as she sings that "Lulu, Lulu" line, which she knew the audience would have been waiting to join in with. Translations of English words aren't always 100% accurate with non-English bands and so we had "Wow, wow" up on the screen rather than the "Woah, Woah" Saiki was singing. I think Obi-Wan Kanami was using an octave pedal on her guitar a lot during this display of her playing, in order to get that synth-like sound. 4:50 - MISA's bass solo is a fine display of her expertise at holding a pick curled in her her finger so she can move from picking to slapping so very quickly. Enjoying your Band-Maid reactions as, apart from the very informative comments, you clearly love, love, love all that they do and, like any good Maidiac, are disappointed when a song ends! Don't worry, though, as there's always another great song on the way straight away! Talking of 'fun' songs, the song that's always a lot of fun for them - as well as having a 30 second drum solo in the official live version! ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHnTpningqaWesk ) - is FREEDOM.

Have you caught on where MISA keeps her pick when she slaps? Hint: She doesn't throw it away! :D Actually, she hides it in between her pointing finger and middle finger (I believe). So, she can quickly transition between the two seamlessly at any beat.

Yep I saw that when I was watching her. She is pretty quick doing that too. Seem less transitions.

If you want to hear a different side to Band Maid listen to Sayonakidori sung by Miku。Combine that with the acoustic Version of the same song。
