There is so much more where this came from, Bob, and I know you will be amazed (even flabbergasted) each and every time. "Olimpico," "Adagio 2017," "Stranger," "Ave Maria," "Love Is Like a Dream," "Your Love," "Love of Tired Swans," "Across Endless Dimensions," "Elim Menin," "Passione," "Be With Me," "I Miss You," and "Jasmine Flower," are just a few of your still to come spectacular musical experiences. Dimash himself says 1% talent, 99 % hard work. Dimash is also a multi-instrumentalist, he is for example playing dombra, piano and drums.
@skirk91842 жыл бұрын
I beg to differ with Dimash on this. Yes, mastery over his instrument is crucial to be able to deliver what the singer wants to express. But, without that innate instinct and the depth of soul he could not deliver what he does. There are people who spend lifetimes becoming top in mastery. But they still cannot connect on the level that Dimash does.

Nu Birgitta,nu ai dreptate.Dimash nu are numai 1% talent.Daca nu ai ureche muzicală, coardele vocale, vocea lui Dimashs poți să muncești 200 % că nu ajungi la această performanță.Nu ai auzit până acuma că Dimashs are cea mai frumoasă voce de pe glob.

You said in the beginning that you weren't sure if he intended the notes to come out that way? The one thing that can definitely be said about Dimash is that he does nothing without full intent, he's an absolute perfectionist and if something doesn't come out exactly as he wants it to then it just won't get released. He said once that more of his recordings end up being discarded than ever see light of day. This was the first time he'd ever sung in Japanese and Japanese reactors have said that his pronunciation was practically perfect. The composer of the song Goro Matsui said that Dimash had sung the most beautiful version of Ikanaide that he had ever seen done by a foreign singer.
@tungavidya2 жыл бұрын
Can you please provide the source of this statement "more of his recordings end up being discarded than ever see light of day". I follow all his statements and interviews as well as posts in his fan clubs from 2017 and I have never seen this. The only thing I could say in connection with this is that sometimes we got instructions from his father not to publish any fan camera videos in the media, because in China it could hurt him if they were published before the show was published. Sometimes there were also videos for some new song that was not allowed to be released to the public before he released it. But that's completely different from what you're saying here. Thanks in advance for clearing this up.

My theory of an explanation: Thanks to his education (especially grand-parents, grand-ma for kindness, grand-pa for caracter strendth...), he is respectfull, humble..., thanks to his singing parents and the love and family ambiace as a context, he is passionated and perfectionist in his choice of dedicating in music in general, which is confirmed by the securing and confortable community around him, all those qualities by a very young age, has been ideal criterions for all his music and singing teachers to bring him quite easily to this almost perfection... In conclusion, it is all about a whole, a context of many circomstances which created Dimash... Let's not forget in this context, the role of our Creator, in creating vocal cords, from which He shows us threw Dimash, all the qualities and possibilities, and His Mercy and Power.......(sorry for my inperfect english...lol)

Thank you for another beautiful reaction-analysis video 😊 Dimash pays tribute to Koji Tamaki`s original, and also to Yoshiko Yamaguchi`s story , and voice :) (you can see her beauty and hear her amazing voice in the link below). "Ikanaide" was written about her sad real life story : written metaphorically as a plea for a loved one not to leave, the song actually describes the pain of actress-singer Yoshiko Yamaguchi that had to go into exile. Born in China, she hid her japanese heritage under a chinese name (Li Xiang Lan), became very famous. After WWII, her heritage was exposed, she was arrested, accused of being a spy, and sentenced to death. She was ultimately cleared of charges, but was advised to leave the country, as she risked being lynched. The song describes her pain in separating from China and her chinese name. The soprano section added by Dimash is meant to express her pain. /// She also had an amazing voice Dimash also performed the chinese version of this song, called "Autumn Strong/Late Autumn" - first time during The Singer competition in China (2017), as the first chinese song he ever sang (worked like crazy in the week given to him, to get the pronunciation right), and managed to bring the audience to tears. Now he performs the chinese version in all his concerts (sometimes combines the 2 versions and sings half in chinese and half in japanese :) ) He got an award in Hong Kong for "Autumn Strong", and for "Ikanaide", a co-writer of the song said that Dimash`s cover was the best foreigner cover :) (japanese pronunciation included :)) ) For "Ikanaide", Dimash used a lot more breathiness than in "Autumn Strong" - as a tribute to Koji Tamaki`s original : kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJuWkpVtmNqSaZI

You should listen Autumn Strong (Chinese version of this song): the Arnau version is mind-blowing, an absolute masterpiece. Please continue your Dimash's journey (perhaps with a Kazakh song? Dididau, Samaltau, Omir Oter are amazing - or as you mention Opera, Olimpico is insane), your reactions are really nice and interesting.

Bob, I really love your reactions. As a fellow band geek, I feel a connection to you (you also share a first name as my HS band teacher). Keep listening to Dimash, you will not be disappointed with any of his plethora of musical pieces. Also, I agree that Dimash does not show off, he simply expresses musically the emotional direction of the song. 😍

Great reaction. There is also a Chinese version, from the singer 2017, called Late Autumn/ Autumn Strong.

that tells you how talented he is. Learning Mandarin is very very difficult. He did it. And this time in Japanese. I think dears all over the world like the Chinese versions as well. You can see they were singing it at concerts.

Dimash has the musicality and voice to take songs into new places they've never gone before. You might enjoy what he does with the Titanic song My Heat Will Go On.

Greetings from Slovakia! Thank you for the nice reaction to Dimash 💞 Dimash is an amazing artist, an amazing person. 💖 This song is very emotional in its version. 😢When I first heard Ikanaide, I cried. Dimash, as the only singer in me, evokes a lot of emotion. And I adore him for that. 💖 You could react to another of his songs, Amanat. Thank you, I wish you all the best. 💖

He sang this for the Tokyo Jazz Festival. He’s singing it in Japanese as an honor to the man that wrote the song, Komi Tamaki. To ski said that he’s heard his sung in many languages but no one else has sung it in Japanese before Dimash did. 😊
