Rope drums are where it's at...solo sound is already fat. A clean line on ropes is really amazing. You guys are dope.

One thing I love about rope drums is that they can sound good as solo or as a line. For me, evans heads on modern drums only sound good with a whole line and when playing on it individually it sounds like a metal tabletop haha.

I notice a military brat when I see one. The reason is that I too am a military brat, my dad being in the Finnish army :-) I love you guys so much. And I do appreciate your service, Americans. Do you know that there is a really good chance that we Finns join NATO? Erdogan of Turkey dislikes us but for example, Germans have indicated that they would exchange the NATO alliance just to have an alliance with Finland :-) That is pretty awesome, but I personally would not go that far. But that is a nice thought though, would you agree? Anyway, uber drum music. I love it way too much. We Finnish military brats love the drums. It soothes us somehow. Then the war is easier for our brains. It is hard to describe. Well, anyway. Thank you, guys. You - and the same guy you :-) - play awesome drums.

I'm not sure; I think it was a tie. And it is a fact that when the drummer was hit with the axe, I wanted the FCC to punish Fox News (because I am autistic and have no realistic views of the world). I know he sued the network, but I don't know if he won the lawsuit.

BD was actually quoting one of the “ancient” rudimental solos from 1934 called Crazy Army, which was played on the rope drum up until the first ending

Your drums are heard. Even the Turkish want Finland to NATO. Not Sweden though. I always wished we could join together with the Swedish Vikings. That probably is not going to happen, to be honest, soldiers. Well, you win some, you lose some. We are soldiers. We will suck it up. We Finns will not yield, we will not surrender to Russian aggression. On the contrary, we would retaliate.

Why? The lack of resonant sound of an over-tightened kevlar head on an industrial cylindrical container held down by a die-cast hoop? Again I ask... why? There is no objective aesthetic comparison whatsoever!
@liammcmanus75023 жыл бұрын
For modern drum corps where the technical boundaries of lines are constantly being pushed, judges need to be able to clearly hear the complexities of the books each line plays. ESPECIALLY now that judges aren’t allowed to be on the field with the line. I love a good rope drum as much as the next guy, but if lines brought a bunch of those onto a football field today you wouldn’t be able to hear a damn thing they’re playing. Modern drums might not sound as good, but it’s a sacrifice that needs to be made for the sake of clarity and technical advancement.

@drewpyperc4 жыл бұрын
Psycho_iSaucyy ツ Electric Wheelchair is based off a famous drum beat written by Ed Lemley in the 1930s, which is what we play in this. It’s called Crazy Army, and is a standard beat in the traditional fife and drum groups.
