To this very day 31 years later this is still the most shocking moment in Batman history pretty much in all comics it's definitely up there with the death of Jason Todd not only was this the first time Batman was defeated but he was defeated by bane a villain that accomplished something that most of a lot of Batman's villains could not accomplish and that was defeating Batman not only did he defeat Batman he took over Gotham until he would be defeated by azbats this is my favorite Batman story ark of all time I wish DC would put out more compelling stories like this again it's a shame DC doesn't have that passion or drive anymore like they did back in the '90s

MONUMENTAL moment!! Only thing is if Bane really wanted to feel superior, he would fight Batman when he's rested. Bane needs venom and how many weeks of wearing him down to get the upper hand! I thought Bane had pride in his fights but.......

Nightfall and the death of Superman have to be two of the best comic story arcs of the 1990s there's so many great story arcs that came out at the time but those two Are the absolute best in my opinion considering how monumental and important those moments were DC comics hasn't had this level of storytelling in a long time and I don't think we'll ever see it again

It was a big moment for me , just not as big as Jason Todd killing a guy for killing his wife and then lying to batman saying he must of slipped , Keep it fresh
