So the electronics don’t heat up from this isolation? And is it normal for isolation foam to deteriorate in speakers or is this bad quality/bad design from b&o? They are expensive 😅

Very good question. Over time, the internal damping material inside the speaker can deteriorate, leading to a loss in sound quality and damaging the Amplifier board. It's not a bad design from Bang & Olufsen.

Has only the mk1 version this problem? Or has the mk2 the same problem?

Most of the MK 1 version has that problem. The MK 2 (Most of them are upgraded with the new Amplifier and new isolation Foam. But I will check anyway if I was you. Just take the front cover off and remove one woofer.

@@KoseTradingWhat about the insulation material in the amplifier, and the taped foam that protects the wiring near the power base? I removed those which was also rotten based on your other video. Does the replacement include that piece as well or should I just keep those exposed?

Great question. The tape can be re-used after the cleaned if you want. You can also take the cables and reposition so it's not hitting the boards. The tape is not included. @@pasleon

Also in the power base there are taped rotted foam to protect the wires near the transformer. I removed all the rot foam including tapes as per your other video, is it ok to leave them exposed?

Yes, just make sure the cables are not hitting the board og reposition the cables.@@pasleon
