I been in love with Bang & Olfsen since the Form 2's. I've also been listening to Bowers & Wilkins. I'll try to give them a try. My first headphones were the Optimus Pro 25's, which are Koss. Then, I worked my way to Bose, then Bowers & Wilkins, and V-Moda. My second favorite color is blue, but something about red. I like red. I'm currently wearing my JBL reflect flows, and they sound pretty good.

I have always had a problem of headphone resting on my ear cartilage and after a half hour or so it really would start causing me pain on my ear cartilage because they are too small for my ear to surround it. So an update on these. I have been wearing them and listening to music for about 5 hours straight now. I just couldn't stop. If I have one complaint it's that they don't seem loud enough for me, but that could be the source of my iPhone, playing iTunes. Playing streaming Sirius / Xm seemed even lower. I guess B&O is trying to protect my hearing which I know has got to be damaged after years of riding Harleys and working for Heavy Metal bands and going to concerts. I was usually at the stage working and I never wore ear protection. Anyway, the sound is absolutely clear, no distortion or fuzz but that is also because they just won't go loud enough to do that. Using the APP, you can adjust them more and the bass makes you feel like the ground is moving. Just for fun, I tried my Bose's and they were hollow with no bass at all. I used to think they were fine. They are not. Not if you are comparing to these. Not even close. Again, it's 3:30am and I have been wearing them since about 10pm I think? They are comfortable. Not sweaty. Not crushing my skull. There was a few times that the bass was making me feel a little nauseous on certain songs and I had adjust it down. My head was throbbing. The weird thing is that it's not loud, it doesn't hurt your ears. It's just clear as a bell. Streaming XM kind of sounds like shit because you can definitely hear the compression as compared to Apple FLAC files. It's also really irritating when the Dj's come and talk, you immediately have to turn it down because these guys are popping the mics and breathing... uggg I have never owned a pair of high end headphones like these before, not on this level, so this all new to me. Most of the reviews I have seen want to put these down for what seems to be two reasons, the price and the fact that they can't affiliate link sell them because they aren't sold 3rd party. They usually pick the Sony's and I suspect because they are louder with more punch and they are easier to sell off Amazon and make money from. I keep going back to the fact that these are lamb-skin leather and really comfortable. The head band or the cupps are not sweaty. The Apple's, like most others are some vegan-plastic bullshit and people say they get steamy and gross after a while. I can honestly say my ears feel fine after hours of wear. When I take them off and cover the cups with my hands, I can't hear them. So the bleed from them is minimal. I have never been a headphones guy, but I am changing my mind because I would rather wear these than just hear the TV or the radio, this is some amazing shit. Listen, these things are fucking expensive and way over priced, I know this, you can get something for much much less that probably sounds just fine to you because if you don't have them handy to compare them to you won't know what you are missing. I wanted to try them using the stereo 1/8" cord but I realized I didn't even have anything I could find to plug them into! I don't think it would matter because these aren't passive and need to be "on" in order to operate so they probably simply decode and process the audio regardless. I will update this as time goes on if anything changes.
@RobertMoseley Жыл бұрын
Also, for those with comments about the longevity of them, how long the battery will last, etc. I took them apart to have a peek, the battery is easily replaceable for $10. Its not a big deal. I doubt that the Bluetooth technology will change much over the years considering how it is implemented in al the vehicles, portable speakers, etc. I am sure they will be just a valid and useful in 10 or 20 years as they are today.

Bob, if I'm spending $1000 on headphones somebody must have stolen my credit card, or I accidentally miss read the sticker thinking it said $10.00!!! I doubt I would pay a $100 on a pair of headphones, but that just me. I know Bob you like your stuff "fancy"... However these things are made in China just like everything else these days. If it works good it works, and I've got cheap headphones from when I was a kid still around the house, and they still work, that's probably only due to quality was much better back then, of course don't have the features of today's headphones. Bob, those you got there might be a bit better quality then some headphones on the market today but they will fail just like any other headphones. Anodised cheap aluminum, well might be slightly better than plastic but still there is still plastic construction on them, there just simply made to look a "small bit" better then others and still just cheap construction from China, with "maybe" a bit better component design then some other brands. Your simply buying a marked up well known name brand product that's sold out to China like the rest of them and kept their quality know prices. You can get headphones that work just as good with most of the same features for less than a 10th of that cost. I guess probably one of the biggest upgrade would be real leather over most others. The real question is how long are you going to actually wear them at a time, I guess that might determine whether they're worth it or not, I don't know. As far as these lasting a lifetime the technology wise, as it keep growing I'm sure the technology in these will be obsolete within 10 years and with only a 3 year warranty... I'm sure the battery won't last much longer than that. I just guess I won't understand, definitely not worth it for me even if they were the best headphones in the world, as I can imagine most people would feel the same. Bob if you're happy with them I guess that's all that matters.
@arnepoulsen2713 Жыл бұрын
why do u think they r made in china? have u ever try one? no, you can wear them for a whole week without your ears falling off, unlike the china piss you buy. and not to forget, they have a fantastic sound.

According to B&O, some components and items are assembled or made in China but their production facility where they make all their products has been in Denmark since 1925. Every time I do a video about a luxury item, someone has to go on a long diatribe about what a waste of money it is and why they are a genius because they are so "smart" with their money and live in mediocrity and only buy cheap shit. As for their longevity, the 1/8" stereo jack is the same as the one that has been used for the last 40 years and with an adapter would also work with all the 1/4" inputs for the last 100 years. The battery might need to be changed and things like that, but considering that I am repairing and working on my B&O products from the mid-80's, all over 40 years old and, most basic parts are the same. I am not worried about it. So yeah, you can drive a Toyota Corrolla to go buy a hot dog and listen your $5 headphones and save lots of money!
@andreknudsne7648 Жыл бұрын
@@RobertMoseley i also always go the extra mile and spend some more on the very fine items i will use and enjoy. the truth is that there is a million factories in China and not all of them is bad, with slave workers ect.. but some have very strict quality assurance for these highend brands.. it is the same with the EGG chair " designed in Denmark" but are make in Poland,, Poul Henning lamps cost 2000dollars but assembled in Denmark but the parts are from China.
