Saxophone 🎷 is definitely one place I will be checking out when I come to visit in December for a month. You don’t have to worry about content-ID / Copyright strikes with live music. No need to keep the music they were playing down to short clips. It’s only if they are singing over recorded music like karaoke or just playing the original artists songs at a bar that you will get those. There has to be an exact copy of it claimed on KZbin to get a claim on your video. Just a tip. Keep the videos coming, Joe. I have watched every one even though I don’t always comment since I watch on my TV. I always drop a like. 👍🏻 I’ll be making some videos when I come visit. Hey Jason thanks for watching. I know you have a large channel, but I got stung about 6 months ago. I had a few dozen videos with live cover bands. They had been out for months earning revenue. Then my Rolling Stones covers all became ineligible for revenue. Maybe 15 others said I need to share revenue with the artist. They weren't strikes, but copywrite warnings. I experimented with the short clips of live music (covers) and so far it's worked. Maybe they'll go back and get me in 6 months. I assumed the guitar parts were so close to the original, the robots just got me. But, I'm not sure what happened. Anyhow thanks for watching. I'm just having a little fun. @@EagerExpat Interesting. Maybe that cover band uploaded their performance from that night and was trying to claim it. I guess just uploading small clips is the safest way to go. I have a lot of subs but I wouldn’t say I have a large channel anymore, most of my subs are dead because my channel started on gaming and I don’t game anymore so most don’t watch my new stuff. 😂 Take it easy man.

@@Wickedshrapnel Ya I'm not sure. I uploaded 30 second clips of the Bangkok Beatles about a year ago. Clearly it wasn't the Beatles. It uploaded fine. 6 months later I get a copywrite claim to share revenue with some record label in Brazil. The Stones cover band also uploaded fine for 6 months. Then a claim from some record label in Canada. This wasn't a share, it was a warning. You are using copyrighted Stones tunes. This all came on the KZbin dashboard. Again these were 1 minute clips. Since I cut back to 5 seconds, I've been ok. We'll see what's next. I don't curse, but they changed that rule overnight and went back and stung a bunch of people on older content. I probably shouldn't show any music, but it's a big part of my living in Bangkok. So I'll chance it. On a much smaller scale I had about 4000 subs watching my Baja California content. I'm just now getting [people to even see my Bangkok videos. I had a few Baja videos get 300K and when they showed that crowd Bangkok, nobody watched. I probably should have started a new channel. But, I was monetized. You know how it goes. All right man, catch you in December

I like the vibe of that spot (OFTR). It really looks like a great place to hang out and chill. I’m an old punk and metal guy ( though I enjoy many other genres they are definitely the ones I go to most) myself but it’s nice to relax with some softer stuff every now and again. I will for sure hit it on my next visit. Thanks for sharing another great video Joe.

Thanks for showing the OFTR. I wanted to go there with some friends but they talked me out of it so I’ll have to try it next time I’m back in Bangkok. New subscriber. I mostly stay in the same areas you’re showing so it’s interesting to see new places and watch you go down alleys I’ve never ventured into.

The new OFTR is really fun. A little pricey. I think Coronas were 220. Mixed drinks at 260 are the way to go. But, it's worth a visit

The live music scene in Bangkok sounds great. Cannot wait to visit in November. Decided to stay in the Ekkamai area rather than at the Lucky Hotel on your soi as I found a great deal on a one bedroom apartment in the Wyndham Garden on Soi 42

Good to know that the MRT takes Visa. That 17 baht from the Airport Rail link to sukhumvit can be a pain at rush hour. I like to go to the airport early coming back from Pattaya and hit bangkok for a few hours before taking the flight back and the ride back to the airport is always rush and the ticket lines are busy then. Does the Airport rail link take Visa? That'd be great.

I just watched another video saying the Turtle stores accept the Rabbit card for payment. No minimum.

Do they at Turtle? They also take a Visa with no minimum. 7/11 has a 200b minimum. Same with Watsons. I've seen the rabbit sticker at the Emporium Food Court. Thanks for the tip

@@EagerExpat I learned two things. I could’ve used my CSP to pay at Turtle. I was slinging them cash. Unfortunately I opened the CSP for my previous trip, otherwise I would have used your link. I believe you can refer any Chase card with your link, not necessarily the CSP or CSR. Just a FYI you may have already been aware. Thanks for the vids. See you when I become your neighbor.

@@Marinate305 Yes, Turtle takes a card. I have links for other Chase cards. You can only earn a link if you have the card. You can refer a friend or family member and get 10K points. I also have a United and IHG link

Everywhere in the world now I see people wearing the fanny pack like slings across their chest. Never was a fan of the look but after travelling with a buddy who wears one I think I am sold. No packed front or back pockets with phone or wallet anymore. Enough space to put the essentials without being bulky and cumbersome. No fear of getting picked either
