Yeah the staff in there were really lovely and I could tell they were concerned about their reputation.. I have definitely fallen victim to the karaoke scams before, but not in Thailand lol

@@DJ33970 At the end the bill comes with tons of drinks at outrageous prices. You end up with a bill in the thousands of USD, and a couple of big guys won't let you leave until you pay. Even if you are trying to keep tab, it is your word against them and it is local mafia with ties to the police. Avoid.

Yesterday I’ve checked out Young Place because of this video. First of all it was a really nice start of the evening. Had some sushi and met lovely people. Also the owner gave me some free snacks / food to try out. I was the only Western guy over there and loved it to be around the Asian people. After this stop the girls took me to a Karaoke bar and had so much fun. In the end we went to another Karaoke bar and here things changed. Immediately when we walked in and sat down at the bar. The girls were asking for drinks. I already had 2 girls with me and was not bothered for paying their drinks. What did bother me was that I had to pay now for 4 girls. Besides that we had to finish our drinks in 10 minutes because they were going to close the bar. One of the girls who was with me ate a few nuts; 300 baht. The bill was 2090 baht, 5 drinks en a few nuts. I really felt scammed and walked away after paying without saying anything. Now I can laugh about it but be careful people.

last time I stayed in Bangkok, I stayed on Soi 24 just next to Phrom Phong BTS. There must be 12 Japanese restaurants on that street. I went to a few and they were awesome.

its like thermae - its mainly asian clients and the girls prefer them ( as they dont bargain - they accept whatever price they say and dont have big " ahem " ) but farangs can go there and are accepted but you may get the cold shoulder from a few who are holding out for asian guys

Great Japanese restaurants down near Tichuca. You should do a best rooftop bar Vlog. I don't even bother viewing some tossers pretentious rooftop vlogs. Most let you in dressed shorts and collared shirt. Some too much and want full pants. Have been to 3 and Octave is best view I have seen. Would like your take as you would be honest. From Australia and get there about every 3 months to Bangkok and love to rooftop bars and would love to know what you recommend.

in Nakhon Nayok, near Bangkok There are many beautiful waterfalls. But there aren't many foreigners going. Because you have to use a car to travel. You should go sometime😀

Totally understandable why the Japanese would go to these places as being able to converse freely makes for an enjoyable time. That said, fewer Japanese are traveling overseas due to a weak yen coupled with an increase in food prices while at the same time salaries havent changed. Must be tough for these places to stay afloat.

Japanese bars are visited mostly by Japanese businessmen who bid for the bar girls normally using beads after they have sang a song or danced. One after another the girls parade there selves on stage. Him who bids the most will take the girl to his room normally for up to 2 hours then she returns to her bar and the show continues. Pattaya has a couple of these Japanese bars on third road but if they don't like look of you they refuse entry. Beware the peanut tray scam where they offer you a small tray of peanuts on arrival a girl will sit next to you eat a few peanuts while touching you then your billed 500/1000 baht for the nuts and a fee for the girl sitting next to your self. Refuse to pay and you then have a problem with security. These bars are really not for Westerners,
