RM was right though. Jin is doing really well. He was elected group leader by his peers, won the base talent show along with his group (prize was an extra day of vacation) and finished in the top 10 %. We know this because you have to finish in the top 10 % to take the exam that earned him the right to even apply to what has become his permanent posting as Assistant to the Recruit Commander on the base you saw here so from now on he'll be one of the guys shouting at the new recruits. Can you imagine if the others complete their basic training on that same base?! 😅

really proud of all of them. it’s a whole different world once they enlist, it’s scary being around random people when all you’ve known is music, your family, members, and friends. It seems like a while but it’ll go by fast. It’ll take so much strength. Emotionally, physically, mentally. The boys will get through it 💜

True, jin is going to be fine, what terrifies me is that South Korea is still at war with north Korea, and jin serves right on the border of the two countries, it's scary to think that at any moment something could happen...

Thank you for your reaction, guys. I was very sad but proud watching this because he's doing his duty to his country. So touching how he reached out to Coldplay to find the right song to tell ARMY that he loved them. But the most heart-clutching moment for me was in January when his first message to ARMY dropped. In the flurry of all his activities before his enlistment, he planned and recorded several messages for ARMY, to be released at certain times during the period while he is away. We just saw his Valentine's message - what a creative and thoughtful guy, no wonder we love our Moon so much.

If they go by age then Yoongi would be next, then Hope and then Namjoon… I hope that now that Jin is in and they could go in pairs, they do. I think Namjoon and Hope will go together next and then Yoongi and Jimin will go in at the same time mid 2023, after Yoongi’s tour. Jungkook and Tae will probably enlist until January 2024…

Suga is the next one to turn 30 on March 9th, J-Hope 29, will after SUGA, and then RM he is 28. Then Jimin 27, V 27, and Jungkook 25.

If they go by ages it would be Suga next (Suga turns 30 on March 9th). But with the announcement of his solo tour until June he's obviously not enlisting before then. And then J-Hope is the 3rd oldest, followed by RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. But it's very possible RM could be the next to enlist as they don't have to go by age if they want to enlist sooner than they are required to. Also keep in mind if they plan to reunite in 2025 they would all have to enlist by the end of 2023, maybe early 2024 if they plan on reuniting later in 2025.

I had read somewhere that the other members will be enlisting earlier than their birthdays would indicate, so that they could regroup by 2025. That seems to be the case, otherwise, if they went by birthdays, then the total service timeframe would have been 5 years instead of just the 2 (start of 2023 to start of 2025). I did personally want them to all enlist simultaneously so that they all could come back at the same time, but 2 years instead is a good compromise.

@@robwebnoid5763 Actually if they all waited until their birthdays it would be around 7 years before they would reunite because Jin and Jungkook are 5 years apart in age plus the 18 months of service. I agree the way they are doing it is a good compromise. They will back together as a group in 2025 but they also have this time to do their own thing separate from the other members. They've spent the last 10 years together practically every day. This is the time for them to grow as people personally and artistically. Something that is hard to do when you have to take into consideration 6 other people all the time. I also can't wait for more solo music in 2023.

Yes & the other thing too, as far as compromise, was the "BTS Law" that they directly influenced, yet ironically they were never really a part of that discussion & implementation, iirc. So, that 2-year delay plus this 2-year total service, was indeed not only a good trade-off for them, but for fans as well. And as I've said in comments for the past few months about this, after conscription, BTS will now possibly be the only band in history that is both real & fictional military. And also now part of 2 armies.

You're right. Whoever the last one to go, no members will be there to send him🥺🥺 However, if his service is over, he will be the only one to have all the members to welcome him back. All his members will be there waiting for his return and that's why I'm not too sad for that last member instead I'm looking forward for that day to come where all the members gather at the entrance patiently and excitedly waiting for him so that they will be complete again 💜

A graduação dele foi linda , ele estava tão bonito e ele fez o juramento em voz alta na frente de todos Eu chorei demais quando assisti o vídeo de formação dele 😭 Ele já concluiu as cinco semanas de treinamento e foi graduado , já recebeu medalha e fez aquele treinamento perigoso que entra dentro da Câmara de gás lacrimogêneo e agora ele está a frente de uma equipe de 200 soldados , seokjin está enchendo os armys de orgulho . Eu quase desitratei de chorar quando jin foi pro serviço militar obrigatório , mas no dia que o Hobi for eu vou sofrer dobrado 💜🇧🇷

The real "scary" thing bout them going into the military is that whacko leader in their neighbouring country who is power tripping with actual nuclear weapons at his disposal. More power to all those who serve for their country!! But you did bring up a point in that if Jin had to join cause he turned 30 in Dec why is Suga not having to join in March? Is it cause of his shoulder?

They can go early like Jin, but they have to go age 30 - but they are 30 whole year until day they turn 31. So whole year time to go... 😅💜

I know that an exemption was a possibility. But I think going through service really would be the best case scenario for them. I had commented on this months ago, saying that if they were exempted, many haters & critics would have belittled & mocked them for not going through service, for the rest of their lives. Think about it. BTS is a band that was based off a military concept. You got scouts, bombs (grenades), muster, pistols, vests, bullets, army & "Fighting!" . They were destined to have come together & they were destined to have become a military concept. It's in their band name. That concept is partly what attracted fans to them, even if that concept was just symbolism. But it's still military. And even if that concept was getting dumbed down once they got into the loving yourself message, it's still military. You cannot erase the past, unless you have a time machine. Now, if they did NOT go through their Korean enlistment, non-fans would have been talking about them being born off a military concept, yet never going to the actual military, which SK conscription has been standard mandatory for 75 years. Not only non-fans, but also past, current & future SK enlisters would be shaming them, even if they don't say it publicly. Or even just jealous. So, I think this is just better for BTS to do. It's just another rite of passage & another trial by fire. They have gone through many fires already, whether from cyberbullying, death threats & xenophobia, although getting huge accolades has balanced that out somewhat. Going through service will just make them stronger. Again, it's only 2 years total. One day, 10 or 20 years from now, us fans & BTS themselves will look back & see how short that service was really, in hindsight. BTS will then be the first, maybe only, huge artists in the world that are both fictional & non-fictional military. And then they will actually be able to handle real weapons, vests & even muster (roll calls). And BTS will then also be part of 2 armies, not just one. It's not all fun & games, folks. As much as BTS spreads positivity & love, it will never fully spread to the point that we will never have any more conflicts on Earth. But like what RM once said, they will try to lessen your pain a little bit & increase love a little bit. Just not 100% either way & not 100% to every person on this planet (8 billion & counting).
