I love the show very much. Apart from being a compelling story, great character developing and the usage of the story background of the BU, the character's personalities are so on point with the characters of the guys from BTS that you sometimes really see them and forget that those are actors. I also love the fact that they used the real last names of the guys and the names from the characters of the webtoon "7 Fates Chakho" as first names.

It is relatable. You sometimes you are living for living but with no purpose, mostly because you can’t die. You can’t hurt the ones around you, but bad stuff keeps happening and you don’t know if or when it will get better. Eventually, you just cling on to any sliver of happiness. Like seeing your loved ones laugh and smile, play video games, watch shows that make you laugh, eat foods you enjoy, and BTS ( my ultimate happiness besides my family). But some days are hard and you forget momentarily and you pull yourself out.💜

Love to hear your in depth analysis. I loved this series and am in awe of how well the actors captured our beloved characters. As Army, we have insight as to the background information of the storyline. Even BTS admits that the magic happens when they come together as a team and pulling all their strengths and weaknesses into one. Likewise, the series does an excellent job of forming this union among the characters even when they don't like each other in the beginning. They can't seem to exist without each other. I love films that keep you deep in thought. Still, with fewer characters a storyline can get lost or confusing or leave you feeling that something was unresolved. Begins Youth, even having no knowledge of the storyline, brings it all together well even with 7 characters. The more you watch the more you are drawn into the characters and become emotionally attached and find yourself cheering them on. Together as a team you know they will perservere. When they are apart they struggle with their demons. I like the point you made about how they all have a different family structure that makes them feel trapped. When they pull away and find each other it fulfills their escape for a little while and they may return to their family issues with a new perspective or a bit more courage to face them. I am looking forward to evertyhing part 2 about BTS. J-hope's journey, Suchwita, Solo albums no.2 and I do hope this series will continue beyond 2 if that's possible.

Does anyone else find it strange to watch series about BTS where other actors play the roles of the Tannies? I understand it's fictional and the actors are talented, but for me personally, I can't imagine anyone else portraying the Tannies.😅😅

Thank you for such in depth back story to the series. I also realized that most, if not all, of the names of the characters are the same as that of the 7 Fates: Chako characters, which to this day I do not know what happened after Episode 7.... I know, not a coincidence. We are after all, talking about Bangtan Universe..

I loved this series! I too thought the actor that played Hosu nailed the feeling and mannerisms of JHope. I thought the actor that played Cein also embodied a lot of Yoongi. The next was Park Haru and his way of avoiding and covering pain... and his portrayal of it hit on my heart deeply. Despite his delusions though... he still sees the group most clearly. In these 3 both the writing and acting came together well. Like Jimin, Cein is a listener and wants the group to be together. Like Jimin you see the idea behind FACE and duality. The others worked as well just not as shocking (and a little scary) in the similarities. The Jungkook character didn't seem quite as close as the others. The RM character was very good at portraying the weight pressing down on him. Sometimes though the Jin character seemed more like RM. But I think sometimes Jin does hide his very real sense of responsibility as the oldest... though often in real life it bleeds through. V's character puzzled me the most... except he, RM, and JHope have talked a little about his early years in thr group and his attitude... with Tae joking if he could go back he would lock himself up to stay out of trouble but would also encourage himself to work harder. My only real problem with the series was some of the editing seemed off... jumpy... and I'm not talking about the timestream jumps. Some of it didn't seem intentional... but just rough. I also didn't like how they ended. It was less of leaving the viewer wondering what comes next and more frustration with and ending that seems to trail off. But I do want more... so there is that.

I’m confused, are you saying the characters in the show are like the guys in real life? Not their stories, but them.

@Imme_begin Yes. The characters have some physical and behavioral similarities. Originally, they even had the same names. However, many of us worried that the general public might confuse them and their stories as being too much based in reality. So, in the show, they ended up changing their names slightly. Each character has kept the same family name, but their 1st name is different. Originally, there was a character named Min Yoongi, but he is now Min Cein. He loves naps. He can be grumpy or seemingly uncaring (but not really) and can absolutely be Savage. He loves the piano and music. He even looks a little like Yoongi. Park Jimin is now called Park Haru. He's on the smaller side. He's very cute and empathetic... but he lies... to himself and everyone but not because he wants to. He's loving and loyal to his friends but gets very hurt by the rumors swirling around him. And so on like that.... It's a swirl of truth and fiction that, at times, makes you worry over time of where the inspiration came from. Of course, I knew the stories from the original BTS Universe, but it's different seeing it acted out with characters somewhat similar.

After learning about the BU, I was excited. Then I watch an overview knowing that the story was told through numerous sources. In the first half of the stories, very depressing. I cannot follow it. It might end well, but getting there is too connected to my own pain and experiences. It's just not something I can follow first person. I'll be watching others analyze and tell the story instead. You did a great job explaining and analyzing the details.

Since I am a new fan of BTS I decided not to dive into this series/universe too much because it was confusing me to the BTS reality. It does seem like a really good story to get lost in. I am curious what was the original idea behind doing the Bangtan Universe and using the MVs to expand on it? Lol I probably need to search out your older videos to see what you said then.

You might be ready after being a fan longer and getting to know there true personalities. I remember as a new fan when I first saw “I Need You” and some of the scenes I was so confused because it didn’t seem to fit the BTS I was getting to know. Made so much more sense when I found out about the BU. I only know the basics. I wish Inhad been around from the beginning because it would have been right up my alley to try and figure it out.

@@JerCarman YES definitely! I’m getting good at even recognizing their voices now. I may have a bias but all of these men are so amazing. It is a pleasure getting to know more about them. This series does have some very nuanced actors. Will be interesting to watch more.

I get you however the BU is like a string that connects their MVs. What I love about it is, it touches on subjects that are relatable to real people and once you get to know the story behind their MVs, you will also understand BTS's artistic directions -- everything about their work/art is intentional.

have been waiting for this, but I was really happy with everything that came up and interrupted the start of this. I hope you read my comment and that you could consider another interruption. You need to check out this ARMY song for Festa 2024 it’s totally Bangtan style created by ARMY. Can you do a reaction for an ARMY Festa song called “Dream Team - Festa Song By Armys with Luv for BTS”. Original creator is: ALY with some other ARMY KZbin content creators and music talents & enthusiasts. I think it is a great song I get the goosebumps every time I hear it, and would love to see an ARMY Festa song for BTS chart on billboard. That would be a dream come true, and something ARMY hasn’t done yet. The song just needs to be spread to more ARMY content creators for more ARMY to see it, stream it and do their magic. The song can be found on apple Music and Spotify. The song was released 13 June 2024 and has been gaining about 10K streams every day. I don’t know how else to go about it since I am not a content creator so I figured I would ask my favorite KZbinrs to spread the word.

Think of it like an alternative universe fan fiction….it’s the guys, but not the guys type thing. Or like a story the BTS guys are telling if they were going to do a fantasy fiction series….some of their songs and MV play into the telling of this story. Does that help?

I’ve only watched episode one, but dang the description of JK’s character really upset me. I feel stupid because I know it is fictional but it sounds like he has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Now I’m going to binge for sure because I wasn’t expecting one of them to be a monster and dangerous.

exactly.. i haven’t seen it yet but i believe you bc most of the descriptions of the parents here r total opposite of the trurh so how can we trust the rest.. JK has always been the sweetest person but there’s lots of idiots who’ll believe the Fiction instead.. Many in the US don’t think for themselves anymore they simply believe what they’re told, i think it’s big mistake to air this series Globally!!

Well, as you said, it was just so sad.... I stopped watching cause it just was so far fetched to me. The lives of these guys is in no way anywhere near the true lives of BTS, but it was suppose to be. 😮 I just got frustrated with it and was so let down with it all. 🫰💜💜💜

This isn't about the story of BTS lol. The story is based on Bangtan Universe. It's a FICTIONAL storyline that runs throughout their MVs.

It isn't supposed to be about our BTS members and their true lives ... totally fictional characters they play in some of their MVs (E.g when Tae stabs his father in I Need You). It is hard to separate sometimes though.

@@lizbailey7748that is what is upsetting to me… if people find it hard to separate these characters from the guys because Fairlane’s description of JK’s character is that he is dangerous and a monster. I’ll be upset if I see people starting to talk about him that way as though the fictional character is like the real person.
