For someone who actually don't recall names of many composers even if I appreciate good video game music, Yuzo Koshiro is essentially one of the only two BG composers whom I hold in high regard mostly due to Etrian Odyssey series. Underrated is definitely a very apt description for EO as a whole, including the music.

The impact this song left me. This was my first Etrian Odyssey, and after slowly making it up the fourth strata, and encountered my first fight, this song simply knocked me over and realized that this is where it gets real. My heart stopped with a grin. This is just too good.

My god, I completely forgot that the main Battle Theme changes at the 4th Stratum. Always thought this was the primary theme just due to how much more level grinding I did when I got to that stratum in order to bring my Forward Team, as well as my Gatherer Squad up to par for the following areas.

Well a lot of times, composers would have real instruments in mind when composing these themes. Take the Dragon Quest series for instance. Koichi Sugiyama composed all the in game pieces intending for them to be played by an orchestra. (Well... considering his strong orchestral background)

That medics propably subclassed, they kinda beefed them up to become combat medics in 4

Nightseeker's probably using the Spread Venom Throw strat (possibly Arcanist subclass for ailment boost?). Sniper could be running Nightseeker or Landsknecht subclass. Medic's probably a combat medic (or supporting the front line with Dancer subclass). Not sure why Landy's in the back though (Runemaster subclass maybe (even though Landy has low TEC)? Maybe Landy and Sniper got temporarily swapped? Maybe the frontline got taken out, so the backline moved to the front?).
