Are you actually saying we are able to see the 24hr Sun circling the North Pole in Summer from the South Pole?! 🤯 I can’t even see it from S Sweden. Either Eddie is wrong or doesn’t really understand what he’s mumbling about …. Could be a third option, maybe? PS. I thought we was to expect a typical Swedish Summer day today, but the Sun was shining …. but the weather has just gone better - dark clouds are rolling in.☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️

@@Soundbrigade *Are you actually saying we are able to see the 24hr Sun circling the North Pole in Summer from the South Pole?!* Dave McKeegan is being sarcastic there. He was pointing out Eddie's stupidity. The premise of the joke consists in the absurd of correlating the sight of a 24 hour Sun from Antarctica to being at the North Pole. *Either Eddie is wrong or doesn’t really understand what he’s mumbling about* YES!

@@rafaelmarangoni Of course not. My “favourite” point is that I, live. 50 miles N Gothenburg, Sweden should be able to see the midnite Sun in Summer IF the EartH was flat. But it isn’t, so the Midsummer Sun is obstructed by a huge obstacle, the curving Earth. We don’t have to go to the South Pole to make a simple experiment, just compare reality with the few FE models out there. IF we lived on a pizza (Calzone), where would the Sun be at various times?! However Flat Earth Bingo-Bongo just relies on FE models and animations and will probably never get to know what reality looks like.

I'm not saying anything different than you are. *We don’t have to go to the South Pole to make a simple experiment, just compare reality with the few FE models out there* Of course not. We've known the Earth to be spherical long before people knew there was a continent in the Antarctic Polar Circle. But doing that over there (like it's been done so many times, with flat earthers just denying reality as they usually do) and inviting a flat earther to come along, and paying all his expenses, will definitely make them look even stupider (if that's even possible). *IF we lived on a pizza (Calzone), where would the Sun be at various times?!* That's yet another good point. We can debunk flat earthism many ways. That one, in Antarctica, though, is a point of constant blabbing by those content creators (scammers). So why not use their own claims against them? *However Flat Earth Bingo-Bongo just relies on FE models and animations and will probably never get to know what reality looks like* I agree. My point is that Dave McKeegan is not actually claiming that "if he goes to Antarctica and sees a 24 hour Sun, that implies that he's actually at the north pole". That would be absurd. Mr. McKeegan was just mocking Eddie.

Banjo is one of those rare flat Earthers, who is so stupid that he would get lost in his own bathroom. He genuinely doesn't see that the observation matches the globe model, and the observation not matching the flat earth model disproves flat earth. Then he went off on one about the length of daytime in the summer etc, making his disproved model more and more complicated, when the simple globe model already accounts for the observations.

Never mind the dodgy geodesy, we also have some dodgy etymology here. "Arctic" has nothing to do with an arc, it's not from geometry, but from the Greek 'arktos", a bear. "The Great Bea" was, and still is to some people the major circumpolar constellation. From the "bear" word, "arktos", "arktikos" came to mean the direction of the bear, or North. The "Ant" particle, also from Greek, was added later to form "Antarktikos" and "ant" simply means the opposite or obverse of something. We get "anti" from the same Greek source. The fact that we spell it with "c"s instead of "k"s simply reflects how the Germanic language of English got battered with bloody Latin. On that subject, I'll hear nothing about "Occam's razor". The place is called Ockham, and ol' Bill of Ockham was the only distinction the village had until it was colonised by millionaires trashing all he lanes and hedges with their git panzers. I played cricket there a couple of times, so I know how to spell it.

The tilt of the Sun's arc across the sky tells us the sequence was not taken from either of the poles. At the pole the Sun maintains essentially a constant altitude during the course of a day. As noted, the latitude here is -75, resulting in the 15 degree tilt of the Sun's path. At +75 there is a good amount of land that protrudes as rocky outcrops. Incidentally, I worked at a DEW Line radar station at latitude 70 for 7 years. For two months the Sun never sets, tracing out a spiraling track with the requisite 20 degree tilt.

I don't know much and am not very bright. But I can eventually, with help of visual models, get the understanding of basics of movement paths and orientation. ...Antarctica 24 Sun movement path is opposite of the 24 Arctic Sun. Same with star movement path. Turning your observation direction 180° still has same counter-clockwise movement path. Banjo doesn't get it and Witsit Grifts-It didn't get it the other night when Professor Dave was telling him. ... You have to alter your orientation, you would have to literally stand on your head to see clockwise star movement on a flat planed earth. The Globe shaped surface does that for the observer. Hence, the star movement path dichotomy. ..It's like screws that you tighten from the top. Righty-tighty, lefty-loosey. But when you have to get to a screw that is upside down, now your righty-tighty turning appears to be moving counter-clockwise.

12:00 Eddie doesn't seem to grasp that in the photo sequence the camera is gradually rotating a full 360 degrees. I think he thinks it's a panorama shot with a fixed, non-rotating camera. His little man standing on the AE map can stand looking generally north and see the full circuit of the Sun. But Eddie doesn't get that in reality, observing near the south pole, that man is going to have to turn and look behind him at a certain time of day. I've only run across Eddie a few times and haven't seen enough of his work to know. What do you think? 1. He totally doesn't understand the most basic things and gets confused really easily? 2. He willfully ignores clear evidence so that he can maintain his fantasy? 3. He totally gets it all, uses confusion and obfuscation to sell Flat Earth, and is in fact a poe?

So, he's made a prediction, based upon his 'model', and that can be tested. ( Please ignore the fact that what follows has already been done, countless times, just humour him. ) At ca. 11:20 -11:50 he describes how, for an observer near [ or even at ] the south pole, whatever we conceive that to be, " The sun will be moving towards, then away ... ". By the simple laws of perspective, which flerfs often have to rely on in their explanations [ vessels disappearing, sunsets etc ], that means that its 'apparent' [ yes Oakley, I said " apparent" , appears to be ] diameter will steadily increase to a maximum, and then decrease. This can be measured with a suitable instrument, with suitable glare filters. Simples! What's more, on the flat earth model, with a small close sun, that change in distance & apparent size will be very large indeed. On the globe model, with a large, very distant Sun, that change in distance & apparent size will be negligible. How about testing his prediction, based upon his hypothesis, & see how it gets on?

Your point about perspective and apparent size of the Sun is just another WTFU moment for Flatwits. Wtvf? The necessary 'tricks' that are required of the small local sun on flat earth throughout the year as it performs its various orbits around the north pole, speeding up, slowing down, moving north, moving south defy description. There's a thing called 'The equation of time', which shows that the sun does not even cross your own meridian exactly at 12 o'clock every day. That only happens exactly on 4 days throughout the year, otherwise it can get up to 15 mins 'early' [ 11:45 ], or 15 mins 'late [ 12:15 ]. Did 'God' just do all of that for shits & giggles? 9:27 someone needs to slide the character on the edge a step at a time to the center. and i wonder if he'll realize if that was the case you'd see the sun all the time as you got closer to the center... We so need to make a piratical model, they get SO CONFUSED with these diagrams. A nice football field sized scale model massive so they can see for them selves. Make them little para-scopes so they can walk around on the pizza planet as if they're tiny. just paint on the floor, all the map as they have it. EVEN make a massive dome to put on it. its the ONLY WAY to prove to them its stupid. Pitch black dome, only light is "the sun" in both glowing ball/spotlight form and sphere light form, maybe even a pizza sun, OH! and we can make a projector to "project" the sun onto the dome lol. Even have a moon, and let them adjust the heights to their hearts contents (which we all know is never). NOTE: the para-scopes would have to have binocular vision, so that they understand it with perspective.

There is nothing wrong with asking questions, to question reality. But when you start using statements, and words like "fact", "evidence" and "proof", you are no longer asking... are you? And as we humans are habitual, it is easy over time to forget that you started with the intent of asking questions. "There are two kinds of people; one can extrapolate a mutually excluding dataset."

Hrm, 13 pictures but the last one's the same as the first one? Could that be one a month? No, because some of them would be jet black. Maybe they were taken at noon from the Circle, not the Pole. It'd look a lot like that facing north at noon each month on the Circle.

Bless him at least he did try with his rather limited understanding of how he thinks those two pictures were taken. But it is rather like looking at a trainwreck in ultra slow motion. You sort of cant look away and you also want to tell them what is about to happpen. However, looking at the damage control done by flat earthers is highly entertaining even if most of them are not bright enough to understand it.

The much bigger "problem" than the very real 24 hour Sun in Antarctica is that, on the conventional Flat Earth models these guys are happy to look at while never committing to, there should be 24 hour Sun everywhere on Earth every day.

Regarding the sun, try to find a working demonstration of a heat and light source heating and lighting a surface while the distance between that heat and light source and surface is left cold and dark. Try to find some evidence that light, and heat, can travel as far as they say they can (millions and millions and millions and millions of miles) and then, again, while leaving its path both cold and dark.

@@david_akerman We are told that the deepest anyone has ever drilled into the surface of the earth is roughly eleven kilometres (6.35 miles) down yet we are also told that the core of the earth is twenty nine hundred kilometres down. Earthquakes are measured with a seismograph up to a depth of only seven hundred kilometres. Ground penetrating radar can only reach a maximum depth of one hundred feet (or thirty meters) in dry, low conductivity, materials and that is in the best of conditions. It's usually much less. Try to find some evidence that verifies that the core of the earth is made of and doing what they tell us that it is made of and doing. Also, how are they able to tell us what supposed planets and stars that are supposedly millions and billions of supposed light years away are composed of right down to their supposed cores?

Oh, so you’re demanding that daylight light isn’t a function of sunlight, Banjo? Is that because the Genesis “let there be light” story implies that the Earth was magically illuminated before the sun was ‘created’? Funny how the reality of the situation conflicts with the claims of ancient story tellers, as though they had no idea what they were talking about. It all happened by magic...”poofed into existence”.
