hey Debo, just another thing to try besides TEXSPOSING , when you first threat the hook into the bait n out the bottom, IF you go a little farther into the bait before coming out the bottom to texas rig it, that way the Eye of the hook is SUBMERGED INTO THE FRONT OF THE BEAVER, PREVENTING SNAGS OR JAMS OF THE HOOK EYE INTO ANYTHING, JUST KEEPS THE HOOKS KNOTT BURRIED INTO THE BAIT N NO SLIME CAN CATCH THE TAG OF THE KNOTT! KEEP ON KILLING IT BROTHER

That snake wouldn't bother be much. One of the ponds I fish has a 7ft gator. As long as I can see him, it's ok. It's when he disappears is when I worry. Definitely have to have your head on a swivel! Another good video from Debo!

Caught a 3.0-3.5lber this morning on a rage bug rigged Texas style on a baitcaster, both new additions. Never would have ever thought to buy creature baits, but after watching your videos I grabbed a couple packs in a buy one get one deal. Third cast and wham! Got the bite. Definitely gonna continue to learn how to throw soft baits. Also, thanks for the tips on baitcaster adjustments. Was always intimidated by them but gave in and bought two reels. Keep up the vids

Also in warmer temps, patience is gonna be key! Instead of steady retrieve you have to slow down your reel so that it looks more appetizing and more worth going after to the fish!!!! Great great great video!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

It matters what time of day your fishing in the summer also. When its hot I like to show up just as the sun is rising, a large percentage of the fish are shallow and chasing bait and move to deep water after the sun is up and its hot.

That snake species is called a sh*t your pants snake. A snake is the first thing I thought of seeing you in that tall brush. Never know what kind of vermin are lurking. Had a beaver scare the hell outta me a few weeks ago. I’m just glad he didn’t gnaw my leg.

Debo, I love Reaction Innovations products. I have used the Beavers, Smallie and 4.0 for several years as my primary jig trailers for small and large mouth bass. Some of my largest fish have been caught on them. This year I tried the Pocket Rocket and it is fast becoming a favorite. Senko’s are just too expensive and fragile. The Pocket Rocket has a very large profile compared to a Senko and the ribbing must move a lot of water. They are catching quite a few fish.

Going to have to start practicing pitching like you said. I just started using a baitcaster so accuracy isn't on my radar yet. Just casting it in the vicinity of where I want it, getting some distance, and probably most importantly cutting back on the bird's nests that I tend to make with the line. But, I am following the advice you gave on beginning baitcasting and it does seem to be working. Getting better with each and every cast. Thanks Debo for all you do!

I don't know if you have water moccasins in Iowa but here in Texas we are thick with them. If it's a cottonmouth, it will swim with his head out of the water. Most submerged snakes are pretty much harmless but if you see a cottonmouth, just move. They tend to be aggresive.

I love Reaction Innovations baits. I especially like the Flirt worms. I use the color Bloody Mary and they have been the juice on a shakey head. I just got some sweet beavers and they are becoming one of my favorites as well.
