congress doesn't care about calls and letters, unless you have a check to offer them. what voters need to do is withhold votes, set up lobbying commissions and let politicians pass some of their bribes onto the voting public before anyone casts a vote. congress already does this, they don't vote for any bill until they have received a payment buying their vote, why shouldn't the public counter with the very same strategy?

I mean I am no lawyer but afaik it has been already ruled for XRP in a years long case that holding XRP is not a security and Coinbase also already won that secondary market txs are not securities. I would expect this to be shut down by the judge and also be not looked at anymore cause these are literally the same cases after the SEC already lost them against other people.

How could smart contracts be "in danger"? They are just code published immutably to a public ledger. If one jurisdiction wants to ban freedom to write words then it'll just be written and published somewhere else. And the likely outcome is that that jurisdiction's residents will just use a VPN to spoof their location. Even Hayden said he recommends founders to build elsewhere. If all jurisdictions want to ban freedom to write words then it'll just be done anonymously and regulatory arb will slowly fight each other to grab those taxes
