Such a roomy house! Doesn't look like it from the front and its built so close to the next house. Amazing features inside. Thanks for showing!

Dang, a brand new beaut of a house gettin torn down already. You Canadians must think lumber grows on trees or something! Jeesh! 👍🤪 Thanks for the tour Ontario! 👍🤠

Such waste! Why don't the developers call in the salvage companies to take some of that expensive and useable stuff out before demolition? 🤬 9:35 that's called a pot filler. They are installed so that you don't have to carry a heavy pot of water from the sink.

With those, I've always thought it could be a disaster if some little kids turned it on and left it running all over the stove, etc.
@lynnb-TruckCastreauJr15 күн бұрын
@@CarolMortensen-e2b I suppose that could happen, but little kids would have to be very resourceful to even reach that, with it being so high above the stove.

@@CarolMortensen-e2b I know all too well! My youngest, at the age of just 3, decided he wanted to help me paint the house. He pulled a chair over to the kitchen sink, laid a platter across the sink to stand on, and accessed my nail polish. He then used the nail polish to paint everything in sight. lol

Not sure if it's there now but there use to be a place near the old stock yards that you could purchased used building parts , I agree places like Habitat for Humanity would certainly love to have decent usable housing fixtures , what's crazy watching these videos at one time people were so excited moving into their new house , never thought the day would come when it would be reduced to nothing ,

Ostentatious. Better to have a smaller home (that's paid off), with $$ set aside for upkeep & taxes and other added expenditures.

That's a spout to fill a pot of water in, make it easier, convenient,than hauling it to the sink.

Those are panels for recording or maybe KZbin blogging. There doesn't seem to be enough of them. I don't know that much about it general. Great video.

26:20 - this room as a seller or it’s called a cold room or a wine room where you store cool things

What a gorgeous house. I don't really like the black in the chandeliers. Maybe that black cabinet on the main floor was intended to complement the black in all those light fixtures/chandeliers.

That’s a shame,it will be torn down. Looks like it is still in good condition.

28:01 -i’m pretty sure this is a second unit, an add-on probably somewhere to rent for the people that live above. Or there’s a high possibility it was like a game room with a pool table and doors the massive TV down there like a theatre kind of idea, cause the back end kinda looks like a little spot where you would have like a little kitchenette with a built-in bar area. So from all the chandeliers, I want to say at the beginning when they were building this house. It was a very expensive house with a lot of custom specific stuff is probably why they were never able to resell it… The electricity and water bill for this place must’ve been insane.

Actually, I think those townhouses look pretty nice.

OK, one more prediction… since you mentioned lottery, and bankruptcy… it’s a possibility that whoever started this house didn’t budget very well and ran out of money, then try to cut corners to make profit by a second unit and ran out of options leading to the bankruptcy. This is very sad because this person who created this illusion of this house, probably plan to be here for the rest of their lives, due to seeing all the specific details, I believe this was here forever home.

That's a pot filler for large pots on the stove. I always laugh at those since you eventually have to move the pot anyway. Yes, the sound dampening panels are used in recording studios but they would cover the entire wall, plus serious recording would never have a window (glass messes with sound) or a hard wood floor. So I think they might have had two desks for gaming on either side of the room. Somebody please explain why houses in Canada have a faucet down on the floor in a shower. I have never seen that except in the houses on this channel.

I think we talked before about that low spout in another explore and I've seen another since then and asked then, so far I guess it's still top secret.
@Bluerose88815 күн бұрын
@@JohnShinn1960 I just googled for a answer and this is what it said: A low spout in a shower, often referred to as a "toe-tester" spout, is primarily installed to allow users to easily check the water temperature by placing their foot under the stream before fully stepping into the shower, minimizing the risk of getting splashed with hot or cold water suddenly; it can also be useful for rinsing the shower floor more effectively.

@Bluerose888 Thank you, it makes sense, we now have closure and in hindsight, filling short buckets and washing small dogs is laughable.
