what's going on with the video quality on this one? There's a weird ghosting/blur that looks like an old tv broadcast and at one point around 25:07 there was what looked to be tracking lines like from old tape recording. It's like someone accidentally applied an artificial filter effect to the video?

Why do the pockets look more forgiving during bank pool event rather than rotation

I was wondering the same thing. While the side pockets look bigger than normal, only thing I can come up with is the new cloth letting them slide in.

It's possible that the table has larger pockets. If you look when there is a ball in the jaws of the pockets, it looks like there's a little more room, like 2 balls can fit between the points. On some tables, two balls will not fit between the points.

The first event is always banks so the table is brand new cloth. As the tournament goes on, the more the table is played on the less the balls will slide in. Rotation is the last of the events.

Actually you're WRONG. By the official rules, the match started before the lag Where players could he forfeited for not being at the table. What you really mean is the only part you're interested in (shooting balls in pockets) starts around 4:40
