Just installed Banks Derringer w Banks bigass air intake and 5" cerakote exhaust. I like the exhaust. Clean routing between RR tire & bumper. Hopefully make a difference w/39' 13,000lb 5th wheel.

So how does the Banks Power Derringer actually work? Is it changing the signal the fuel rail sensor sees and the ECM therefore bumps up the fuel pressure in response to that?

@@plog1805 They will eventually figure out the l5p, they have been able to tune every other engine, they eventually figure them all out, l5p will have it's chance, If not I guess I was wrong and i'll be trading in my truck in a few years, we will see. It seems they are just running into issues with the EPA, Fuckin bastards, but i'm sure they will find a work around for that too.

Late response but for me it made a big difference I couldn't hear the turbo at all before but with the intake you can hear a pretty distinguishable turbo whistle and you can hear it churp when down spooling sometimes as well.

Fuck that!!!! Stealth kit is way easier to install. This kit voids the warranty. So your gonna want to remove this when you get an oil change so your dealer don’t find out.

Going through the firewall is no fun especially if you have a well equipped truck or worse a Denali. Theres a lot more Stuff mounted to the firewall Which does not leave much room to put your hands.

This piggy back setup is just like the JMS Boost Max that I got for my F-150. It does what it does without the computer knowing anything that's going on. It would have been nice to know what this kit was supposed to do at the beginning of the video.

Ok so let me get this straight. The Banks power module for this truck doesn't flash the pcm? Wow. They're back to the old trick the computer shit. Great. Just when I thought we were done with that shit.

I installed the Derringer on my 2019 High Country today and that damn gromit made me cuss. I could not see the grommet after taking the fuse box cover off and after about an hour trying to get that lead through there I took the fuse box loose. I saw BANKS video and they didn't remove it. This whole install was easy except for that ^%&@!%* gromit, LOL I do have one issue with mine. I'm also running AMP side steps and I bought a OBD splitter but my steps would not work after plugging them up. I was wondering fi AMP had to have their own OBD splitter to work? I purchased the splitter from Xtreme Diesel but the name is OCP, www.ocp.com/
