Very helpful video for changing the silica beads! I had the same problem with the end not coming off to empty the beads, looks like a manufacturing bug. Thanks for sharing

@kiltsmore I have seen this system is no more available on your website, are you planning to sell it again in the future?

It looks so easy, and I love how flexible these appear to be, but I just got them and can't get the end caps to budge, in order to empty out the gel beads. Tried a butterknife, and that only started stretching the tube. Ideas? Should I try heat or something?

Okay, I tried a few seconds in the microwave to soften the tubes. Only ended up with warmish crystals and unchanged tube, so abandoned that idea. My husband couldn't budge them, and neither could I, so I resorted to asking my 13-year old daughter, with freshly painted fingernails. She was able to work one off, proving that it could be done! Freshly inspired, we attempted same treatment on the others, to no avail. So I offered her $5 each for removal of the next two. That gave her motivation, because it's bikini-buying season, but she didn't succeed before I finally discovered a method: Rest tube on cutting board. Use butter knife to aim prying effort diagonally away from yourself and toward the board, while pulling the tube oppositely toward yourself. Rotate tube and keep prying, making sure that curvature of the tube is happening. Eventually this method produced victory. Remembering your video's mention of lubrication, I put a little T-Zip on each cap before reinserting. Don't know if this will help the end caps come out more easily next time, but in faith I'm now going to install your system in my pipes. That's after ripping out the cracked system that's been heavily gaff-taped into my stocks for the past few months. Fingers crossed! I look forward to the day when ya'll abandon pressure fitting, in preference of threads :)

@@CharmasBand used pliers as I couldn't;t budge them. I wonder if by only filling the tube to half could you get better air volume?

@@clachan24 I am using different moisture control in my main pipes, but in my other set I still have these and I found that after a while the caps got easier to take off. I keep them about half full with the gel beads, but full seems okay too. They are still messy for taking the beads in and out. It requires a funnel to not spill any.

I had the same problem and was able to get them off by dropping in motor oil and letting it permeate between the cap and the tube. After a couple of minutes, the butter knife and tiwisting, they came off relatively easily.
