Let me tell you what is Rs 600 crore- It's the money directly given to state govt by central govt. But don't think centre is not doing anything after this Rs 600 crores. The facts is that, the direct money given is always like that only in all previous natural disasters cases. What's not included in that 600 crores- State govt is not gonna repair NH from that money, it's central govt. The govt properties are gonna repair by centre not state. Insurance agencies and banks are gonna revive private sectors which is not included in that 600. And so on. So don't generalise contribution of center just with that 600 core.

This is just a one sided narrative trying to push what seems like a pre decided agenda. Though coming from Kerala, I would rather not favour giving relief assistance in terms of actual money to the state government knowing their track record of how they had handled such aid in the previous instances. I think the centre took the right step and instead of giving direct aid apart from the initial emergency financial assistance is actively directly involved in relief activities. Few were factual but still let me tell you, roads, houses and other infrastructure are taken up by the center for their restoration, renovation and rebuilding, relief programs are still in process like financial aid for the affected families and so on, hence reducing the overall cost of damage occurred not to forget other initial and ongoing fundings by the center.. without taking much of a help from other countries, isn't that mature enough for a government to handle their own situations?!
