early battles are good! In fact I think tough battle with 150-200 men(may be elite but without 10 comapinions vs 250 javelin skill) against bigger force are extremely in demand. Because these are the forces with which the average viewer plays most often.

These videos have been a real treat lately, love to see the content pouring out. I’ve been using my Faris cavalry like highly mobile point-blank machine guns. As my infantry advances, I’ll have my cavalry hold fire and rush to form a long line around the enemy’s flank. Once in position, release javelins… the killfeed lights up. A thousand javelins to the backs of the infantry and archers. By the time you’re out of javelins, your infantry has arrived to meet the enemy, and your cavalry can charge in for some hammer and anvil action.

Love it - that's a tactic I will adapt(and steal) from you, thanks Dusty! :) Cheers!

Something I’m looking forward to in your full Aserai campaign is seeing how you select and develop companions-between party roles, governors, captains, party leaders, and caravaners, what will you prioritize and why? Have you thought about the ultimate goal and the path to it foe your campaign? Aserai vassal for life? Conquer Aserai land as a vassal of another kingdom? Start your own kingdom? Thanks for all the entertaining and educational content!

Great episode ! Very relatable as the scale of soldiers/battles and early perks are similar for a normal playthrough. Also like the variety of maps. What i find it fascinating is that you have no fear. No matter what army i have and the scale i am always afraid of the battles i engage as every soldier lost is liability for my campaign. It's like i do not like engaging in battles for the fun of them - but i have to strategically fight them ( and pile in the odds in my favor ). You on the other hand - go all in.
@HeadlessHorsemanProductionsАй бұрын
This is probably just a forming level of hubris in my head. Like all humans, I am prone to emotions that get us into trouble and my success leads to fights like the final battle here where we get crushed. In the real campaign I will play with a more calculated approach though ultimately there should always be a chance to recover. With great tactics, you're never really out, just down.

first! :D i plan on doing a sturgia campaign. Do you still think doing a heavy archer composition would be favorable over just stacking infantry and heavy cav? Have you done any videos on sturgia and their tactics?
@HeadlessHorsemanProductionsАй бұрын
Yep, favorable. Use your infantry to hold the lines, provide distractionary squares and cav to protect the archers. Once you FEEL you have the momentum, go offensive and crush them with cav and infantry... I'd go 40% archers, 40% infantry, 20% cav, with much of the Cav being the JAV CAV
@ScarTalonАй бұрын
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions do you think it's viable to use Sturgis archers? Or should I attempt to farm up battalion fians when I can?
@HeadlessHorsemanProductionsАй бұрын
@@ScarTalon You'll be forced to use Sturgian archers early on, the BIG benefit is that the lower tier Sturgians archers have a LOT of ammo(two quivers), so you can fight(and win) battles of arrow attrition), hence you'll want to use distractionary squares more because the enemy will run out of ammo before you. Eventually FOR SURE you want some vlandian xbow and fians but to start, 30-40% of your own archers is fine. GET SOME LAKE RATS!(yeah all caps, it's because they are awesome)

I left you a post with a link that might be of use for you in dealing with the audio file problem that you've had. Unfortunately, due to me traveling, and the equipment I have being inadequate to train a new model, I wouldn't be able to do this at this time. But there are plenty of alternatives available, and I gave you one link to a video that shows you one of them. There are others if that one isn't sufficient

I appreciate it! I'm still looking for technological possibilities, but also just going to monetize and use vetted copyright-free music, that way the copyright lawyers don't chase me around and I can monetize a video(or chose not to). Cheers and I appreciate the help!

I'm having a lot of fun on my current (new) campaign living the merc life for Battania--currently making around $8k/day on my contract and growing. Will probably skip the vessel until I level up some powerful party leader companions and then go straight to forming a kingdom. The sad part is you lose all of your influence as soon as you do

on topic of mics: you can make polls on youtube. I like the mic you are on now, but that might be more about the volume balance (game volume vs voice volume) than it is about the actual mic. Sometime the game volume can be a bit loud compared to your voice. Also some words about cursing: i support it fully, but then again i'm not an american snowflake :P (e.g. not american) I'm really looking forward to the campaign to, but i'm basically a fan no matter what you put out so theres that. I'll try to remember to leave some more comments though just to beat the algorithm

In case you need more opinions on this, IMO the RTS mod only makes things better for the viewer, it allows me to get a better understanding of what the fuck is going on as well as why you might be positioning some troops in one way or another, I might not be able to catch all this information if you're in the middle of a melee and there's a hundred arrows flying your way, but a bird's eye view allows me to see all of this more easily

In mount and blade warband if you raid a village you could not recruit if you have - relation with! So get back on - 30 in relation is really hard! And you get a huge loss in relation with the lord that own the village also! In many ways mount and blade warband is superior !
