Excellent show and tell as always! Really appreciate the visual and literal descriptions (vanguard, 8th corp, bottom of the "V", etc). Those terms finally clicked for me lol

good vid i never really use tactics in bannerlord but this vid showed me the importance i cant believe u won a 2-1 battle of that magnitude i usueally just have archers sit on high ground with infantry to protect while i lead the cav to skirmish till the enemy gets close then i just charge everyone in thats the extent of my tactics XD

Well, frankly that's how I fought battles too when I was learning. I'm a student of history, especially war history though(and former military), and the game has so many formation options and troop construction that it was only natural to keep on trying to improve my tactics. Subscribe to the channel brother, or at least check out a few more videos! To be perfectly honest, this was kind of a sloppy battle for me of late - I've had some unbelievable destructive battles outnumbered even worse than 2 to 1 and just crushed them with tactics. This video is probably an example of what utter destruction you can deal out if your tactics are refined: kzbin.info/www/bejne/barFnJeVpKmWa6M

@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions hy man i never really put much thought into the system bc i didnt think it was very fleshed out but ill definitely check out the vid im a big fan of history too n love late roman and early medieval history. i also love the pike n shot era it was a revolutionary period in history and quite cool to listen to/talk abt, i think a mod or dlc for bannerlord in that era would be amazing to play bc of the straegy aspect of the game
@HeadlessHorsemanProductions10 ай бұрын
Yeah I've experimented with pike and xbow, it works so-so but maybe I'll keep playing with it some more in the future. Glad to meet a fellow war-history enthusiast!@@riconosey

Tactics HUGELY beneficial, and I follow this guy and a few others because of it. Some people have a knack for discovering or applying tactics to their desire - this guy is a mastermind, basically a tactical genius.

Playing chess against the enemy playing checkers. I still cant pull this amazing tactic off with my 250 person army, but some day soon!

do you think that theres one tactic thats almost an umbrella tactic
@Strategic-Monk10 ай бұрын
This seems to be it so far. I've seen lot of videos here and this is by far the best. It's basically an encircling and destroying combined attack. I can't pull it off as easily as this guy does but I've done it a few times and massacred the enemy.

Flanking skirmishers with a shield-wall in center. If you only do one major thing, make sure you flank with skirmishers and/or archers.

How you ride through/in front of the aserai front line and they didn't javelin you? I couldn't go near those savages.

Mad respect I'm sure! LOL, plus I've executed some Aserai lords so they know who not to fuk with.

Thanks again!...I subscribed to your channel. Do you have advise for Tactics when one is Attacking? Anyways keep up the good work!
Bro, you jumped in the aserai line, and didn't catch that one-shot axe.... How?!

I'm often in the midst of battle and do take some savage shots sometimes. The battles where I get dropped mid or early on I just don't upload to the channel lol.

That opening stand-off looked like straight from a history textbook. Do you shuffle around commander perks a lot to meet your demands ? If so are you going for speed, raw damage or HP, or mix and match for each corps ? Btw, glad you still enjoy those limbs flying like a kid in a candy store - never gets old.
@HeadlessHorsemanProductions10 ай бұрын
Yes, I shuffle group leaders depending on the situation. For a bridge/ranged battle for example, I don't emphasize speed, but -15% ranged damage, higher ammo accuracy, etc. - but often I still have my skirmishers and eighth corp(my elite units) on 30% speed banners - it makes them SO fukn fast! (and LOVE the gore, it's just realistic, no?)
@connycontainer945910 ай бұрын
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions Got the mod myself couple days ago. Don't think it's realistic but it's fun though. Considering that even just layered clothes could turn cutting into blunt damage and you'd probably drop from exhaustion and wounds rather than getting your head chopped off mid-battle. But it's really satisfying to watch and a nice indicator for a good hit when playing with all messages disabled.

I upgraded a few months ago and it was certainly worth it. I was shocked that a decent gaming computer was only $1,200 these days - back when I crushed people at Quake(literally last century), I saved for a year and paid like four grand for a gaming pc.
