you're gonna blow up soon, I can feel it. Keep going brother!

Thanks, will do, I'm still 'hard at work', which translates loosely to making these videos and playing Bannerlord at work(in between calls at our Firehouse). Even if the channel doesn't blow up, I'm having a lot of fun fighting these battles and knowing others get to enjoy them later. MANY more episodes coming! :)

I'm only 50 hours into this game and I've discovered kill boxes are some of the better tactics. I've gone 500 vs 1100 and won with these methods. Very effective.

What i usually do is split my legionnaires into 3 groups, my fian in 2 groups, and put them into checkerboard formation the infantry at the front. I have menavliaton at the back as reserve. My strat always starts by sending khans guard to skirmish, 3 legio on Shield Wall, 2 fian groups on loose formation in the gap between legion, and menavliaton in the middle to charge when the melee start. During the melee, I'll lead the cataphract to charge the enemy range unit and my khans guard flanking on the other side or behind the enemy if the map is big enough. I dont usually set the melee cav to charge early on because they usually got stuck. I'll just lead them, and later, when the melee starts to break down, I'll send them in for clean up. This strat works most of the time. The only problem is when facing the khuzaits horse archer. Because my khan's guard usually doing the skirmish to draw the enemy cavs, but khuzaits got superior horse archer so it is troublesome. I need to withdraw my khan's guard early to the fians guard to clean up the horse archer with support from the infantry

Sounds like an excellent plan and something like the tactics I've done as well over my 'bannerlord' career'. You might still benefit from some of the tactics we share but some guys like you just have it figured out already.

If you have a hard time setting it up(and timing it), there is an entire playlist that covers the killbox including more instruction/top down views. Hope you can master it because once you do, the REAL fun begins. :)
@s.novozhilov18567 ай бұрын
damn i could never pull thing like this, will drown in micromanagement for sure( Plus i always play ultrarealistic without identifications, reports, and with 1st view). In conditions like this I would usually apply combo of hit-and-run+ local numerical advantage. And killbox too. But I usually refrain from making so many separate regiments. 1 infantry, two/one archers, two/one cavalry. and actually AI works good for horse skirmishers. Helps to forget of cavalry and focus on managing footmen.
@HeadlessHorsemanProductions7 ай бұрын
For sure impossible without unit identifications and the UI necessary to see where you're placing troops/who they are, etc. - but I fine it necessary in some cases to kill huge forces of infantry. I think in time bud, you'll command more units and I have a playlist almost custom suited for this, the intermediate tactics series, 10 videos that make it easy to advance from 4 units on the field to 8. Happy hunting!

@HeadlessHorsemanProductions5 ай бұрын
Most certainly! I'm producing an episode right as we speak that shows the clear value of tactics. It's complicated and it has a steep learning curve but once you start getting good at it it's incredibly rewarding. We also have a playlist series for intermediate tactics that helps you advance from a relatively new stage of command to an advanced, dominating stage

I always use F6 for footman and archers. I comand cavalry and with squere formation dealing charge dmg to the Archers behind the line. But I hate reinforcement mod. Its always bring enemy to the battlefield but allies never come help to me. Maybe because I am mercancery or I have to low relation? Dont know how that mod use decision logic. There should be option that they offer help for money 100denar for a troop tire level or something like that. (100 units tire 3 = 30.000 denars)

I like the idea of calvary in a square but does it slow them down on a charge? I often use shield-wall.
@rockybalboa56117 ай бұрын
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions archers don't wear a shields but thay often use loose formation so horse keep charging. I charging footman only when they are charging my footmans. They don't use shield formation in close combat.
