Almost anything that's alt format is a fun time watch. I feel like that's why people flock to the events in Master Duel. Meta is all well and good, but it's nice to have a space where you can take a break and play with/against unconventional or lower powered decks.

Absolutely agree. Attribute 4 event taught me Suships and now I have a fully constructed build in the TCG and even brought it to locals. Got 2nd place surprisingly!

its a shame that you don't show more than 1 game per round. I don't see the reason not to show multiple good replays in the same round. Also I think it would be really good if you can show the deck lists of the top cut at the end of the segment.

I think the issue is generic floodgates, boss monsters, engines and floodgates. they really need to ban them all and create in theme versions for and example a salamangreat ash that does what ash does but also has in in house effect to allow extension next turn. hand traps are one of yugiohs biggest issues and deck with the whole engine being starters can play these unimpeded but all other decks can't yes they may halt the opponent but they don't advance your engine. dream mirror is a good example traitor neiroy is a great cards so is the phantasms but if you don't opening one or both you can't really do much.

It's on an archetype by archetype basis using the deck name. "plant link" doesn't get banned, it's Sunavalon/Sunvine/Sunseed

Imagine Master Duel adopted a Pokemon Smogen Tier type list for their cards: Uber Overused (OU) Underused (UU) Rarely used (RU) Never used (NU) And then you can only use the cards in the respective tiers. You could play janky decks in the lower teirs and sweaty decks in the higher ties, depending on your card collection and mood and each tier has its own ranking system.

@@Cryptus777 Actually what they might do is preemptively “hit” Blackwings rather than a full ban. That’s what came up in the Discord. The reasoning is that the new support might make Blackwings too strong for the current state of the format. Bear in mind the YT videos are behind by one tournament (the most recent one was #6). So the video won’t really give you an idea of the current power level.
