Sir what is the meaning of the term jawari? I've heard many artists use this term including Sh Ajoy Chakrabarty Sh Sonu Nigam and several others.

Differs from instrument to instrument. On the Bansuri - it is the shaving off around the inner surface of the bowing hole. This requires lot of patience and skill. The finer the jawari, the better chances of a good sound. :)

@@ashwinflute Jawari nikalana means to introduce higher harmonics to the sound of the instrument. Thus making the sound waveform complex and more appealing to the ear. Method differs from instrument to instrument but the concept remains the same.

बुरा बिलकुल नहीं लगा जी। यदि मेरे उत्तर से आपको ऐसा प्रतीत हुआ हो तो क्षमा चाहता हूँ। पर अपनी सफ़ायी में ये कहूँगा के price जानना हो तो maker को कांटैक्ट करना चाहिए। इसमें बहुत सारा confusion दूर हो जाता है। लालच हो या मजबूरी, मुफ़्त की चीज़ का मोल नहीं होता। और मैं जिस भाव में कोर्स बेच रहा हूँ उस से अधिक खर्चा तो courier charges में दे रहा हूँ। ये सब मुझे public में बताने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। यदि आप मंदिर से प्रसाद ले रहे हैं तो मंदिर तक जाने का कष्ट अवश्य उठाते हैं। बस उतनी ही अपेक्षा है।

Ashwin ji - Can I ask the intonation system for the E bass? To be in tune with various Tanpura pitches it seems it must be equal temperament (perhaps you touched on this point in Hindi). Especially, as a future student of yours - which intonation do you recommend? 🙏

To be in tune with various Tanpura Pitches - the recommended intonation should be equal tempered. But when picking an instrument, one needs to know what one is buying for. Is it for only Indian Classical music, or is it to be able to play non-classical music - and choose accordingly. :)

It takes usually 4-5 years to make a bamboo mature And may be 2-3 years generally for new makers who usually do not care about warmth of tones who produce in bulk And probably a max of 6-7 years for really best sounding flute But yes over maturity may weaken bamboo And it totally depends on how the maker had scraped off the required stack by jwari from the bamboo Like subhash ji of punam flutes mostly uses thin flutes which indicates that his flutes are 4-5 years matured and same with all other high end bansuri makers Seasoning usually means the ageing of a bamboo to finish of the unnecessary humidity in the upper and inner surface of bamboo to tune it properly and give it a nice tone 🙏 Hare Krishna

@@harivalakode9547 jwari varies from instrument to instrument If actually focused on bansuri It is usually scraping some bamboo dust from the finger holes mainly from blowing hole to improve blowing angle compatible for everyone Which allows fingers to set comfortably and also enhances the tone or depth of bansuri And most importantly it reduces the flutter sounds( crack voice) while playing frequent tones like murki and paltas
