This stream, Magnus really expressed his take on what he saw with clarity for us mere chess mortals. Kudos to him for doing that for us. Yeah, I think he's about ready to be cast as a Bond villain, (of the earlier genre) with that one comment, the only thought he struggled just a bit to express the entire stream. At 20:07 is there a tactic or am I wrong? Can u take the pawn on d4 with Bishop if Bishop takes back u can take the knight and u need to take with queen...otherwise the pawn structure is damaged and becomes ez to attack the king...so when queen takes u can take the free Bishop...if anything else happens either the pawn structure is damaged or you're just getting one more pawn

I wonder if Carlsen could beat Fischer at his best ... I really wonder.. maybe now if Fischer didn't have the "modern training" but once Fisch get up to time with computers I am not so sure... I see Carlsen as a modern universal Karpov... A lot of moves are not necessary to calculate. So indeed, one can play on the basis of the possibilities or the position. In a long game more calculation. More care. In these the intuition or "experience" of certain positions is sufficient either to win or draw. Sometimes things are overlooked no matter who is playing.
