Its important ladies to educate ourselves..Ex.mom of 3 virgin haired teenaged-naturals but it wasn't until i returned to natural 3 yrs ago that i realized I needed to educate myself in order to better help my girls. YT has been a wonderful source, yet reading with understanding is truly empowering. Do i smell a basics series:)))?? ..oh, ans: products that help pull moisture from environment to hair..thx..Johnita

I do a little dance every time you post a new video. Girl I did my homework. I had no idea what a humectant was or when not to use it. "Glycerin is a natural humectant. Humectants help retain moisture...However, when there is no moisture in the air to grab, humectants will steal the moisture in your hair! So, using products containing glycerin during the dry wintertime is a recipe for dry, brittle hair. " Who knew?! Thanks LadyT!

Came out so pretty! Hated the burnt sugar but the berry sugar is love! The first few ingredients i noticed were different. My hair is funny acting anyway! Jcokes on here put her pomade in the microwave for about 15 secs i think. I always have the best twistouts when i do hair dew + pomade or hair dew + whipped pudding + pomade. :) your making me want to try bantu knots again.

A humectant is a substance used primarily in foods and cosmetic products to help retain moisture. These substances are called hygroscopic, which means that they are able to absorb ambient water. Some humectant additives are beneficial when consumed or used. Others, particularly in some foods, are less helpful, may cause abdominal distress, and should probably be avoided. A common humectant in food products is sorbitol. This humectant is a sugar alcohol derived from sugar. It is used in dieteti

I really feel like that's hindering my hair growth. Could you give me a few tips on what products really help(ed) you retain moisture. I'm all natural, but didn't BC. Thanks, girl!
