Hi Kendra! Great informative video. Thank you. 👍 Could you please make a video on "what way, how much and right time to consume seeds like Pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, flax seeds etc. It would be really helpful. I usually consume these seeds after soaking them in water for at least 12 hours, mostly after 3 - 4 hours of lunch. Don't actually know if it's right way..

Dr. Vasant Lad and his wife Usha Lad wrote a good book called Ayurvedic Cooking for Self Healing that can be a good place to start.

Ayurvedic Recipes are the most exquisite in its exotic taste, aroma, textures and colours. Ayurveda advocates eating food according to the three doshas of body - Vata, Pitta and Kapha. These recipes are prepared to provide you maximum health benefits by achieving detoxification and providing essential nutrients and nourishment. Ayurveda is a balanced approach to eating that suggests eating mindfully, healthfully and with gratitude.

Excellent topic, good coverage of Ayurvedic cooking. However, you might not notice that the captions with this are totally off - they seem to go with something totally different. Since I rely on them due to hearing loss, I notice this more than most people.

How can clarified butter or ghee be satvic? Because we have to heat the butter to get it. Can you please explain?
@banyanbotanicals3 жыл бұрын
Sattvic foods are full of prana (the life force), easy to digest, and promote overall wellness and mental clarity. Ghee is highly prized in Ayurveda for its ability to nourish and lubricate all the tissues of the body. It is known to kindle digestion and support a balanced and robust metabolism. Ghee is also used topically on the face, hands, feet, lips, and nails as a silky and gentle natural moisturizer.

I'm not an expertm but I do know that in proper Indian culture cows are treated with the utmost respect and love, treated well, and were able to have natural births and deaths - never killed for meat. This completely negates the possibility for impurity. Nowadays, most dairy products are made by factories which torture cows, but some treat them better than others. So the best option for conscious people is to search for the best farm/company in your area and buy your ghee and other dairy products from that farm/company.

in what way do you consume or prepare fennel seeds to help with bloating ?
@banyanbotanicals4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking! There are a few different ways you can take fennel seeds to help promote harmony in the digestive tract. You can prepare them as a tea, either on their own or with cumin and coriander seeds (as CCF Tea), or you can simply chew a few fennel seeds after a meal.

What about eating chicken
@banyanbotanicals4 жыл бұрын
Whether you choose to eat meat or not is a personal choice, and may very well depend on your physical needs, but Ayurveda itself is not anti-meat.
