Crows have been known to mob and kill other birds, including other crows, which could be one origin of the term. They also congregate around dead bodies, since that's a free meal to them. Though scientifically the term is a flock, like most birds, groups of crows commonly are call a murder, mob, horde, or parliament.

@@KristofferEk i think the best part is, he started it cause he didnt wanna fall into the pit of requiring donations in order to stay afloat that alot of rescues are unfortunately in. and ad revenue alone brings in enough money to keep it in the green, the donos and subs are just bonus that helps them be able to throw money at the ferrets to give animals like henry a chance at a future that they probably wouldnt have outside of the rescue. and in the case of henry and a couple others its lead to ground breaking stuff thatll help ferrets get better care nationally if not globally.

Vincent, or Vinny, his story was a bit of a doozy. The person that surrendered Vinny to Thor was on meth and Thor could smell it on them, and because they were high the time would pass for them without realizing it, which meant Vinny wouldn't get fed or taken care of at all resulting in days of total neglect. After rescuing Vinny, Thor was hit so hard emotionally by it he ate a pumpkin pie in a USPS parking lot with his bare hands while trying to not cry. Also Mocha is the Lord of the Tubes and none shall pass.

I've had two ferrets that were each given up on by their owners and were sadly neglected. The first being Frisky who was just found in a garage without any owner whatsoever - likely abandoned. The other was Mocha. Both were identical in appearance but I remember doing my best as a kid to care for Mocha the most and was devestated when he passed away years ago. He loved venturing inside of drawers and sleeping in them. I love ferrets and am so glad there is a rescue for them with Pirate here.

4:50 A ferret cafe sounds like a fun idea, but there are some major complications. The ferrets sleep most of the day, which would be disappointing for any customers that miss the window. Entitled customers are unlikely to respect ferret sleep time. Also, when the ferrets are awake, they are mischievous and are likely to try to steal food or other stuff that they should not play with or eat. Considering their health challenges, there is bound to be a lot of human food that is dangerous to ferrets. Even if you tell the customers not to feed the ferrets, somebody will do it anyway. I suppose one could currate the menu to ensure that nothing poisonous to ferrets is served, but I don't know how narrow that is. Granted, other animal cafes likely face similar challenges and somehow make it work, so there are likely solutions that I haven't considered.

Me and my sister used to have ferrets as kids! Her's was regular brown and white and mine was albino. I loved them soo much! Ferrets are such wholesome floofs. I love their dooks and "wardancing". My partner has had ferrets for over a decade, and our last one passed away earlier in 2024. All the animals we've had have been rescues. They were all so good and got on with our cats as well. Funnily enough, my partner had the exact same brand of enclosure as these people.
