@@ham-fam good to hear..the software is a bit strange…if you go to the last tab…VFO and set up A or B as VFO when the display shows the frequency and you hit scan it will show incremental changes in the frequency. I have a Baofeng RD-5R and the channel display changes when it scans…I think that radio is designed better overall,especially with the large battery option

Same here. Couldn't figure out the scan issue for the life of me until I saw this video. The software is part "build your own code plug" and part "let's play a game of clue for you to figure out simple stuff".

I have just bought this radio and can not read the radio as I can't install the cable driver need help it says there is a problem, it says usb device not recognised

Make sure you are using the correct cable, there is no driver for the cable - the cable is a straight-through cable (no chiP ) the Device should show up in your USB as a DFU device

you must install usb driver provided in software ,restart your pc and than do it
