Ingredients for 12 buns
Dough :
500g wheat flour
30g sugar
5g baker's yeast
5g of baking powder
1 tbsp vegetable oil
22cl lukewarm water
Stuffing:
5 chicken thighs
12 quail eggs
10g black fungus
4 green onions
1 onion
1 tsp grated ginger
½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground pepper
1 tbsp tapioca or corn starch
2 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp vegetable oil

I tried this recipe and the buns turned out so so great! I've tried made buns before but I didn't succeed, not until found out your video. Your recipe and instructions are really detailed so I just followed every steps, and the result is unbelievable. I've always just made desserts. This is the first time I made a traditional dish like buns. Thank you so much 😊!

I made them and my sister loved them!! I'm making a second batch today and will even be bold enough to stuff some with mashed adzuki beans ^_____^ Thanks again!!!

@@reemalabed3694 She said "after the water boils, reduce the heat lightly", may I ask like, we reduce the high heat to medium heat or what?

@@tamphamngocthanh3010 Hi! Okay, so let's say the water is on high. The water starts to boil. You reduce the heat just a little bit because you don't want the water to boil off. It will be good to keep the heat at a medium setting- It should be simmering- not a rolling boil. The steam from the simmering water will help cook the buns. Also, do not lift the lid of the basket. Keep it covered for an additional 20 minutes after you take it off the heat so it can keep its shape and not become deflated.
