Ok that first one was 100% on Sean's attorney. The attorney gave him legal advice to keep the contract, a move which literally invalidated it. When your lawyer gives you legal advice, you listen to it. They should have known better and either sent the other owners the contract/a copy, or told Sean to bring it back to them.

That is a big part of what their paralegals do, aside from prepare documents.. They would end up in litigation with their former client over giving such terrible legal advice. 🙄

The finger painting bar is without a doubt the dumbest idea ever. It encourages people to act like children, and that's going to attract a crowd of entitled morons who think they're gifting you just by letting you stand in their presence. They're not going to pay for drinks, they're only coming for the free painting. They're going to get paint everywhere; on the door, on the furniture, on the glasses, etc. And that's going to chase away paying customers because no one wants to drink from a glass that's got finger paint smeared all over it. And if it can't be washed, then it has to be replaced, which is even more money that you're kissing goodbye.

Or in any position of power. My dad had a boss named Shawn. He'd constantly be overworking my dad, insulting him, and rarely gave a day off. That happened for 8 years. It only stopped when a new contractor company stepped in, and Shawn lied to them about my father. He told them my dad was unreliable (my dad worked nightshift and was 1/4 people ever on shift, and had even other coworkers concerned about how much he was working), a liar (my dad wouldn't lie even if his life was dependent upon it), and lazy (my dad had weeks were he had worked several 12 hour shifts with at most 8hrs in between). Needless to say, Shawn was fired, and security escorted off-site, with the notion that he'd be arrested for trespassing if he ever returned. My dad wasn't the only one being overworked and underpaid, with the threat of being fired looming overhead. They also don't get the time to even job search for other opportunities with the amount of time spent AT work.
