Good job! I don't have sprint shifters to deal with and only have to re-tape once a year. I always, always have to check which way to do that last diagonal cut. KZbin is my friend here. I never use the finishing tape provided but use a good quality 3M electrical tape. Over that I use a single wrap of self fusing silicone tape for a neat finish.

Brother, use one of the single hole punch thingy. It'll give you a cleaner cut for your climbing shifters.

I use a leather punch with a rotating head with different sized dies. Got it at Harbor Fright for less than $10

The reason why the handlebar tape is unwinding is because you don’t pull and stretch the tape. You need to do that.

I never cover the aero flats on my Bontrager XXX carbon bars. All that tape adds drag and kind of defeats the purpose.

Jon, next time you wrap your bars, try to wrap it in the opposite direction than what you just did in the video, I think that will solve your problem of your bar-tape sliding or stretching like it does. It may seem counter intuitive, but I think it will solve your problem. Greetings from Singapore.

No, no , no,,, you should always wind the tape towards the outside of the bar at th start.. otherwise your hands are always trying to undo in the loosening direction while riding…. You started winding in toward your bike

I use the shimano DA sprint shifters on my bar has climbing shifters for the last 4 years. My inpsiration was the Canyon from a vwry famous cyclist here in europe, Joaquim Rodríguez: images.immediate.co.uk/production/volatile/sites/21/2019/03/1399570176925-1k0h5qhwn3a27-1772f62.jpg?quality=90&resize=960%2C540 I use mines under the bar.
