Its amazing how stealthy Fafnir 5b's are for such a large assault mech, as a light pilot I've lost how count how many times I've gone around a corner and come face to face with this monster. After streak boats this one shot beast is the bane of a light pilots day!

It's honestly pretty amazing how much aggro the ECM keeps off you in a Fafnir. More than makes up for the gigantic hitboxes. Now if they would just show my Dire Wolves a little bit of the same love...

There's nothing better than getting behind the enemy line as a dual HGauss fafnir and popping components through paper-thin rear armor. Even on heavies, theres often less than 50 points worth of rear armor and structure on some CT's so you can insta-kill unaware pilots

Oh, yeah... those days you are using an assault mech with weapons that need to precharge, predict and trace your enemy. Check, double check... ready, aim... BLAM! friendly light mech out of nowhere... and then they get all salty. Or like this example, when it was just a tiny laser graze and they pop... So... I can feel the pain. I mean, when I'm using a very mobile mech and cut the line of fire of my assault friends, I AM the one who says I'm sorry.

Bara, those mechs look beautiful when you have a good video card! I play with an old school GT 630 (1Gb) as I can't afford better, that's fine I'm not complaining, I still get to play MWO and love yours and BrioS vids. I might have to take my faffy out after this! I run a similar build in the Sleipnir (just to be different from the quad LBX), it is sooo fun to pop light mechs like balloons. The ECM would be a huge help, will have to try this. :) Precharging the Gauss is a low odds chance, but when they peek and you nail 'em, totally worth it. Besides, if you have nothing to shoot at what else ya gonna do? Like Bara, don't use the Gauss charge skill node so that you can cycle through this faster.

MW 4 in particular was even crazier with it´s weapon(un)ballance .. and what you may remember from mechwarrior is how much it is more about powercreeping than anything else ... try competing in MP matches as a light mech, the work you have to put in there compared to MWO is easily double of that .... light mechs in MW:O are a propper threat, in MW4 and 3 they are cannonfodder even with a SRM build and in 4 medium and small weapons are utter shit .. also realy PPC/gausscombo is just such a nobrainerbuild .. even then in MW3 and 4 you don´t need anything else than 5 to 6 standart IS LLs realy because of the instant pinpoint hit (no DoT at all to need targettracking) ... it´s fairly easy to cool and get a fair number of shots out with significant enough damage to crack the heaviest of mechs .. dislike what PGI did as much as you like (and a fair ammount of stuff has valid critisizm ... MW:5 epic exclusivity without transparity) but at least they went and actualy diversafied mechplay ..

@@rogon2574 No. It's just that they are incompetent. They didn't even bother to re-introduce fall over mechanic. MWO is the bare minimum of what it's suppose to be. Units that are suppose to be strong are extremely fragile, units that are fragile can be damn near impossible to destroy, too many of the same weapon = GHOST HEAT FOR BALANCE, yet you'll find someone spewing even more shit than you can do without overheating at all and destroying you. No, the makers of this game are just incompetent.

I have done a team kill with missiles, launched them at a free and clear enemy, they almost get to the enemy and a friendly walks right into the path of the missiles and blam team kill, the thing is that after I said sorry, the friendly said it was his fault

Cheaters! LOL. There are plenty of times things dont happen the way they are supposed too....but its usually explainable by crappy game design (hit reg issues) or lag. The other day I was in my 4HP (Eight SRM6A) and a Vapor eagle pooped up 50m in front of me so I alphad him directly in the CT. His armour only turned yellow.........he should have been open and possibly without 1 of his side torsos...

.... how THE FUCK do even cheat in this game? ... like seriously in like what the last 4 to 6 or so years i played this game i seriously have yet to see people use clear exploits of the game or make use of any sort of trainer, noclip hack or anythijng of in that direction .. and seriously cheating in a 12v12 teamgame like this ... how pathetic or lame would you have to be .. like cheating for what gain? cash? xp? PSR? .. the game even without events and premiumtime gives you alright-ish ammount of cash and xp ... and if you don´t get a good PSR then that simply means you suck .. no ammount of cheating will change that ...

A good fight on such big and slow machines like this or the Anihilator is rare at high tiers. In 99% of cases, you will die alone, thrown at the mercy of enemies, the team fled far ahead. Don't buy yourself this shit

Enh. i can regularly pull 1k dmg games in my annis. you just gotta know how the pugs are gonna work and position smart. In comp its a different story though.
