I’m currently playing a Tiger Barbarian as my main and loving it. I jump around seeking clumps of enemies which I can debuff by applying the bleed condition which helps my party and at level 6 I’m taking the Wolverine animal aspect to immobilize the enemy with the maimed condition. I’m also a using the Boots of Stormy Clamour to add the Reverberation condition as well. Fun time! Also, I think you undersold the Bezerker since knocking enemies prone with a throw is very powerful. Finally, never considered the Advantage with Strength for pushing attacks for the Bear Barbarian . . . going to have to try that one out later.

The automatic bleed is a good way to make use of those boots, and I guess the boots will work with the maim condition too. It sounds like a good time. Prone is so good against bosses, in honour mode in particular since it removes their ability to do anything outside of their turn.

This would also be really fun with Flin’s healing flail + the amulet from the lady that wants the Gith egg, which maximizes an incoming heals. You will always heal for 6 dmg per hit, so 18 healing in a single sweep attack. Might be worth keeping on you if you ever need some more healing!

Tiger Heart on a run where you gained BOOALS benediction can be insane, spreading bleeding heavily and gaining advantage on all those affected

I love berserker for 2 reasons intimidation is so funny as a berserker. And throwing builds are so strong i was hitting 30-45 dmg before tavern brawler with returning pike and it knocks them prone for cleric and paladin to whloop them not to mention your next throw has advantage because they are prone. Reckless attack too helps

This was lots of fun! I think the Berserker really shines in multiclass Throw builds. Being able to (eventually) use one bonus action enraged throw from Rogue on round one and two every round after that together with Tavern Brawler gives you a true nightmare of an offensive build. Enraged Throw doesn’t cost you a -1 to hit. Wildheart is amazing as a tank and controller, probably the best tank in the game with the right gear, but I tend to prefer the Throw combo. Can’t wait to see the rest of this series.

note about diving striker's 2 turn prone, or any 2 turn prone in general: it doesnt matter that it lasts 2 turns unless you find a way to reduce the target's speed to zero as they will automatically use their movement to get up after 1 turn anyway

Good point. Sadly there aren't actually a lot of conditions that completely remove movement speed, such as maim.

@@CasualVeteranGamerMaim can be achieved easily with hell dusk glove cause throwing is count as unarmed and can proc bleed easily. Every martial class that use str usually take tavern brawler even if not going for the throwing build for the range option (you dex is usually suck when go str anyway). So as long the enemy is not above 105kg (if you want a nature 24str) or above 150kg(use elixir) you can grab them and throw them to another enemy and proc prone + bleed + maim. Even Rapheal in Honour fall for this cause he only weighs 80kg =))

My mind is a tad weird because I like tanky type characters, preferably ones that can provide support like a paladin can or some of the more tanky clerics, so Bear Barb is something I quite enjoy. Being able to run in and take resisted damage to almost everything is pretty great. You don't get much in the way of fancy tactics to do, but I can put that health tank to good use.

I feel you really under valued the bonus action throw. The throw doesn't apply the stacking penalty, so a throw build is silly good.

The good news is that Patch 7 will be the last major content patch for BG3 - so if there any changes, you might have to make some adjustments after Patch 7 only one more time. The bad news of course is that we won't be getting more content after September, when Patch 7 is expected. Offsetting this, Larian has confirmed they are working on 2 new games and I'm sure those resources will be set on making interesting new games.

@@CasualVeteranGamer Yep - it will be a couple of years however before we hear back from Larian. There may be another Early Access at some point and the game will remain in access for a couple of years. We know one game is a sci-fi game, and the other one is being kept under wraps.

The single biggest issue with wild magic is that it uses Charisma for it's spell save on a class that is already tied for being the most attribute demanding class in the game, making it the single most attribute demanding subclass in all of BG3. To add a little extra salt, the subclass wouldnt even be that OP if the spell save was moved to con or str. A shame really.

Yeah, I don't even think it's really worth trying to increase the spell save DC of the wild magic barb since the conditions/damage done isn't even that good.

I'd really love it if Larian would check their player data and apply upgrades to the least played classes and least used feats to balance things out in their final patch. A man can dream!!

My favourite is the Berserker. I just love hitting stuff and you can now hit stuff even more with bonus actions. It also suits barbarians in role playing aspect really well. A proper barbarian just wants to hit stuff without considering the consequenses.

Your ranking system is flawed, Berserker is the main class in an S-class build (TB throw). Wildheart is cute, but meh. The wild magic one is hot garbage. Basically, barb is a pretty bad class, but the interaction between enraged throw, thief's extra bonus action and TB is completely overpowered. Therefore, any ranking system that doesn't rank zerk much higher than the other 2 subclasses does not reflect reality, because that subclass saves the whole class from being useless. You probably need to add measures such as item synergy and feat synergy. Also, multiclassing potential should be 10/10 for zerk.

Cute but for multiclassing, what class that multi to bers that not thief? The only thing go for bers is throwing build and that all, no other choice. Throwing thiefzerk is one of the best build in the game but its all it have, very low multiclass potential cause frenzy strike is a trade off that no other class want to take.

@@VinhKhanhNgo-rr5vx 5 levels in zerk gives you an extra attack on action and a bonus action attack. Plenty of builds want that, it's just that the TB throw is by far the best option. Assassin works almost as well as thief, and both ranger and fighter generally don't have much to do with their bonus actions if they don't dual wield. Of course, you are just making a makeshift monk at this point.

@@omgopet Then that a big no for multiclassing potential, cause every martial class have extra attack at lv5, sword bard at lv6. For fighter, if you want to attack three time then just go lv11 and stills have the bonus action, no frenzy strain. For archer then still a big no cause why the hell you rage when using bow, and the frenzy strain suck especially when you attack roll already struggle with sharp shooter. Paladin and Bard a big no too. Monk have their own use of bonus action. So yes, bers multi class potential suck.

I would argue that any rating system is futile anyway since trying to measure things objectively isn't possible in a game like this! I can agree that I undersold the enraged throw, but outside of multiclassing to a thief, that can only be used from the second turn onwards in combat. I can admit that multiclassing potential could be higher. I also don't want to let a single type of build influence me too much. So while TB is overpowered/broken for a throwing build, I don't want it to determine everything for all three subclasses. Also, I try to rank the subclasses against each other only, not other classes. You may not agree with that, but if I did then I feel like I may as well have just created another tierlist with all the subclasses, and I want to provide something a bit different from that, at least for now!
