nice one mark that river has some smashing fish in it but as you say they do not give themselves up to easy ,the center pin screeched off and there is your prize a ,big barbel, in the net ,,,keep the videos coming mark,, ps ,mark,,how far do you bike to the river on your electric bike,,; and keep on with the, ,proper fishing , on a river what else could ever replace that ,well mark till your next adventure on the bank tight lines,,
@francolinobasco
@francolinobasco 3 жыл бұрын
Hello there Stephen! The river surely does not give them up easily, but I do get enjoyment out of that challenge too. Regarding biking distance it varies depending where I am heading to. I would say furthest 22 miles, which is not so bad with the pedal assist and still helps work the calories off. Problem is i am currently recovering from rib ligament bruising and torn muscles argh :(. I do have some videos i need to edit though so that is a positive and I am slowly mending.

Great video as always Mark! Lovely reward for all the planning and waiting! Obviously those crayfish are a real problem - do any of your fish species predate them? We use yabbies, which are a type of crayfish, extensively for bait here in Oz and the native fish in particular love them, I've even caught carp on them. @@mikepetch8353 it is, but this season has been very sketchy regarding the barbel, some are starting to come through now, mitten crabs are proving a pain ,they have made it up past Cromwell weir for the first time too, bloody things, would love to travel down to the lodden, they are completely different animals for sure..
@francolinobasco
@francolinobasco 3 жыл бұрын
@@paganoutdoors3193 Cheers Craig, the Allcocks will be brilliant fun with a Trent barbel connected to it, I look forward to seeing you with one on it. Mike yes regarding the two rivers they are totally different in stock levels it is true and I know you fish locally to me so have some idea how the rivers can be for barbel socks, nomadic and searching for pockets at times, but they are two different rivers totally and I have enjoyed fishing big rivers, Thames, Lot, Cere, Vidourle, dordogne and Siene all big waterways, but those listed which are French are on another level and it is swings and round abouts, chalk and cheese. The difference between your smaller rivers and larger ones, be that biomass of barbel or indeed difference in level of intimacy they offer an angler and scope all varies a lot, each one has an enjoyment factor and atmosphere that another does not.

Hey there Tim and thank you! Yes I have two E bikes, one is my NCM moscow which I have done around 95% of my biking and fishing on. The other is a Stealth bomber ebike clone, which kind of looks like a mountain bike meets a scrambler and it was the latter bike that went haywire and nearly could have killed me, all because the seller did not install motor cut off sensors on the brakes, so the motor couldnt be kill switched when it randomly went haywire, thankfully just rib injury and back, slight neck whip lash. We are considering court action regarding it, I do plan on rebuiilding it.
