Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!!! I have been barbering for 10 years, and I always had a hard time with skin fades. I would have to ask my coworkers to help me. Instead of the explaining, they just did the cut for me.😡Yesterday I had two client that wanted med skin fade (back to back) and I totally rock it! I even ask one of my coworkers to check it out and he was impressed. Both clients loved it! Thank you for explaining where I could understand. You boost my confidence!!!💈✂

That's what learning is all about, you will never give up on something if you have the passion for it, once you know you can do it then you obtain the confidence to learn more of your trade, cutting hair seems easy, it is not only a trade but doing really good work is an art form.

I just want to say I’ve been cutting my own hair for years..... some good cuts and some horrible cuts. I constantly watch you tube tutorials to help improve my technique. I must say I watched this video tonight following your exact steps (for once) and the fade I gave myself is by far the best! Keep putting out new stuff. Sincerely, A self proclaimed barber... thanx bro!

Thanks for this! You're clear and concise! I'm trying to wrap my head around the part where you're practically using a 2 open, then closed, when you had done a 3.5 on top. Thanks for emphasizing on using the corners to avoid creating additional guidelines while trying to fade up.

Watched a CPL of ur fading videos yesterday...I'm timed on all my h/c...but I'm determined to have my fades turn out like it's!!! I've had my C license since 1998 I only get 17 mins. so I'm trying to incorporate ur formula into my fades. Ur exactly right!!! the guards and clippers are made to produce perfection!! Wud b cool to get a response if u have time...I am going to have fades as good as yours... Then I'm gonna go to the barber shop across the way and tell the owner I'll put my fades beside his any day, they'll be better and I'll do them faster than his!! It's my goal!!

This is a very informative video with a lot of information pearls. Has anyone tried drawing the guidelines on the scalp by using a non-toxic skin marker? I know this would only work for shorter hair (although those with longer hair could be cut as needed until the marker could be adequately used on the scalp). When I was cutting my hair, 5 hours ago, I thought it would be easier if I got a sharpie and drew the guidelines in; and in that way I'd know what sections to use what guard combs. I'm going to try it the next time. :D

I just wanted to say all of the youtube videos I’ve watched your videos are by far hands down the best detailed and well explained for someone who is just learning, you taught me so much already . I’m just starting out cutting hair recently I’ve been practicing on my husband and son. I have a couple of questions for you. Do you have a video of a simple fade like if i wanted to cut with no guard closed on the sides and the longest on top with 5. Which guards would I use to blend? If you don’t have a video of that would you please do one. I’m working with Wahl senior clippers.

Wow!!!. after watching your video. I subscribed to your barber channel and unsubscribed the other barber channels. I simply did not learn enough, but I did get thoroughly confused. your information gives the most thorough steps that actually teach. the other clowns with haircut videos either can't teach, won't teach or are all in some competition to display their finished project, sell /endorse some product or musical mix that you struggle through while watching their sometimes poorly focused videos. Not to mention, engage you on some idiotic rhetoric about what they've been doing in their lives. TBH, I chose to watched their videos bcuz they were cutting the hair type that I have, thinking I'd get better instruction from barbers who cut the same hair I have. WRONG! I was about to give up hope until I browsed across & clicked your video. In so glad that I clicked your video. I've learned that I was doing a lot of wrong stuff, including getting lost in my fade steps with the lever levels & guards. guard placement on the head. fading down method actually make sense when you explained it. The fade steps chart, better than a pic of a head with direction arrows on it. I ain't trying to be a pro, but I want to be able to do it correctly, so I dont jack up my little nephews , since they like when I cut their hair. So thanks for teaching technique that can be applied on all types and grades of hair.
