Another thing to point out is that this was in the quarterfinals pretty early on and after they did the "Go on. Pick it up," so many other quartets and choruses also called back to it. It was pretty funny.

I dont know how to do a prat fall myself but I'd assume the sound is intentional for KJ, cuz from a physics perspective that takes away a lot of the energy from the fall which would make it hurt less. Also it looks better then.

@@jdwylde7 so the Joke that they are referring to is last year at the Barbershop competition, a group called Midtown performed a song called “spider-farm” which was a mashup of their “Spiderman” song and another group’s song “Old McDonalds deformed farm”. This other group was called Lunch Break and their signature song was Old Mcdonald’s deformed farm, an obvious parody, but about all of the animals on the farm had deformities or disorders that are ironic to the animal, like a ADHD dog, a snake with a lisp, cat with dyslexia, cow with a dairy allergy, etc… the baritone of Lunch Break performs with Midtown on the song last year and one of the jokes was a Narcoleptic Pig, and when they sing that part, KJ, the baritone, just falls flat in his face, REALLY HARD! So this section of the Newfangled Four’s song is about that. Look up “Spider-farm - Midtown” and “Old Macdonald’s deformed Farm by LunchBreak” to see the performances

My father sang bass in a couple of chorus's. He joined the organization when I was 10. I remember the Boston Common, Acoustics, the Bluegrass Student Union, the Harrington Brothers/Second Edition and many more. This quartet has good harmony.

You guys go through so many revisions so much practice so much performing before you get to this stage and then are denied year upon year proper recognition. I would say that you're a crowd favorite. Although the judges might not give you the goods, the crowd and the overall larger community backs you. Please remember that. We want to hear you because of your dedication.Don't lose heart, because there are several people who watch this channel because of you I, myself, only became aware of this competition because of you.
