I am in love with this line. I'm a really new collector, but I think I'm going to be able to get all of these dolls at a decent price. My favorite is either Victoria or Andra, probably more Andra because of her make-up. I have to have Cam to be a Mini-me. Thank you for the in depth discussion of these dolls and their face molds. I sometimes make earrings but lately I have no time to craft so I cheat by purchasing panels of multiple stud type small earrings for children or costume jewelry. And then I insert tiny studs in the dolls ears, I Pierce it with thumb tacks. Its so much faster to quickly get earrings into dolls without factory piercings.

I have missed your videos. Great to have a new one. I just love these Looks dolls especially the diversity! Tamika has the most potential for looks and hairstyles and I love her hair. I don’t have a least favourite. Have you tried making wigs for the short haired girls? I will try with the two short haired girls. Also, Mattel has to get more Asian males…I suppose the BTS dolls count but they seem too boyish for me.

Bts dolls bored me as soon as I saw them. Maybe I'm biased because I'm korean? 🤣🤣 I agree, we need some more manly Asian guys. I like the wig idea... im so lazy about doing certain customizing techniques. Ugh. I can make a wig but it just seems like so much work! 🤦🏽‍♀️ one of these days when I can muster up the attention span, I might actually do it and show yall what I came up with. Great video, unfortunately I have to disagree about the skin tone between Victoria sculpt and Andra, they're skin tone are slightly different, Victoria skin tone is more light than Andra, I know because I got an extra Andra as a body donor for a really pale barbie face, and notice that doesnt match as well as the Victoria one when I try, like as said Victoria skin tone is a little lighter, again great video.

My eye sight is deteriorating over the years. I need new glasses. They look so similar i can't pick up the diff with my eyes. I tried taking pix and comparing but they look too close to me. I wonder why mattel keeps producing mtm dolls with "in between" skin shades...? It makes it more confusing for us to match heads and bodies. They seem to be doing it more and more.

When I first got Andra in person I thought the face sculpt resembles the Scarlet Johansen face sculpt a little. I tried to look at a side by side comparison online. If they put red hair and blue eyes on Andra I would immediately think its Black Widow. I know you have one standing up against the wall on the acrylic shelves. The shelve idea I might just try myself.

Yeah I see the resemblance, good observation. I got a little obsessed with my red haired dolls and gave them a spot on the wall for a while. I have a friend with red hair and I'm always in it. 🤣🤣🤣

I disagree with you that Gabby has awful lip color. There are TONS more dolls with "lipstick" that is too light. And Gabby works perfectly on Tamika's body. I also saw Tamika's hair "ironed" and trimmed and she looks really good. I put mine's p-tail up on top of her head instead of off to the side. I like it better. I did take one of my Jon's braids down and flattened them and kind of hid the unrooted parts okay. Just for a change. Thank you for your time in sharing what you've done!!!

I really don't like the flocking on the dolls. I am going to have to try rerooting. I have been procrastinating doing the rerooting. I have the Ken, Barbie, the blonde girl with the flocking and a couple of the indian dudes (stole the body off the one). I have been personalizing our dolls for a while now. Learning to do beards. Just learned a couple mistakes of trying to change hair color. Great video, thanks.

Not a fan of flocking either. I prefer rooted hair if we could choose. And 2 girls in this line with flocked hair... I was a bit disappointed over that. Thank goodness we have fantastic customizing techniques to bring our collections to another level! I love personalized collections. It is a fun expression of the collectors personality and makes the doll displays more creative looking.

@@BrokenDollyTV Hey there, I have an Integrety doll and she had a lot of large areas without hole plugs. I would have had to heat her head to do the holes so I opted to glue. I had some hair wefts from Walmart. I trimmed off the top part of the weaving and glued short strips onto the bald areas. I also did this with a ken doll but I didn't trim off the extra weaving and it did not come out as well. My favorite glue is Loctite stick'n seal.

I have a barbie who i glued hair onto before I learned to reroot. Im too scared to style or brush her hair so it always stays down. I think I used mod podge or elmers to do it! 🤣 its fun to experiment with customizing and learning new ways to get things done.

I've been buying 2 each of the Looks guys only, one to keep in the box & one to put on display plus regarding your situation with Jon's braids, the one that I put on display I let his hair down & run semi hot water on his braids only being extra careful that I didn't damage the flocking, his hair is full & it hangs beautifully so I guess it depends on where or who rooted the dolls & that goes for all of Mattel's dolls because they do have bad quality control inspection which the consumer's pay for it in the long run. I love your ideas & your videos keep up the great work!! 💜

My Andra also has the shimmery flocking! Interestingly, however, my Andra and Victoria are two different skin tones! Victoria is much paler (more like purple top?) and Andra is a slightly paler skin tone than the new pink yoga mtm...hmmmm

@@BrokenDollyTV you should see some of my oops projects. ☺️ Sometimes I leave it and go back later. I have bought cheap dolls and used the head to make a cap. Also I glue a layer of hair around the edge of the cap. It will help conceal the cap. Especially if you style a ponytail, updo or pull back the sides. Elite Dolls does some cute wigs or glued on hair I want to try.

I really love them all and I ordered the new wave. How did you wave VIctoria's hair? I melted part of it using a flatiron oops so I bought a new one. I wasn't able to curl Tamika's hair like you did, I will have to try again. They need at least one more male, maybe a petite male.

I wish we had 10 more males! 😆 I'm waiting for the rest of my shipment to come in for the rest of wave 2. I waved Victoria's hair by braiding it for a while and unraveling it... I can't remember of i dipped it in hot water, I don't think I did. But that would probably seal the waves so they stay put long term.

Andra and Victoria are definitely not the same skintone. Look at their bodies under natural light, Andra is more tan and yellow than Victoria. In fact Victoria is the lightest skintone outside of the fantasy pale skintones the Twilight dolls had.

@@BrokenDollyTV I live in Bulgaria, here dolls are not cheap, so I have to choose what I like more a doll with hair or a ken doll. Also my husband is complaining about my dolls. Many ken dolls look klumsy to me, their faces are too plain and simple. Maybe in the future I get a few kens as well.

I just compared my Jon, which I got recently in Canada, to yours. The eyes on yours look larger and not pixelated. Mine has distinct pixelation, even though it’s not that obvious because the eyes are small. I wonder if they changed production methods on the later versions? Fortunately my Elle and Lena’s eyes look great.

I just use a thumb tack to Pierce the ears. U can use small stud earrings meant for humans or make some with jewelry fastenings and beads

So out of all the looks I only own Lina and Elle and I’ll be receiving Tamika and Andra in a couple days I did order Kit the day the looks came out I was able to pre order kit at 19.99 but she got lost or something and I never got her but I did get a refund but I don’t wanna pay like 50 dollars for kit now

That sucks that she got lost! I had a few packages during Xmas season that were floating around forever. Some of my orders were from Walmart and they ended up sending me extra dolls to make up for the lost ones, but the lost ones made it to me eventually as well! They told me I could keep all of them. It was an accidentally great Xmas for me.
