I just came here to say that Eric Colvin, the music composer who did music for some Barbie movies, uploaded a bunch of fairytopia, mermaida and Mariposa music to his Spotify!!!! Basically the soundtracks for fairytopia, mermaidia, magic of the rainbow, and Mariposa. It wasn’t necessarily lost media but we can now listen to it fully without having dialog over it.

From what I had read, the one in Sleeping Beauty was planned to take place between Rapunzel and Swan Lake. As a Barbie collector it still bothers me that the Fairytopia musical will never be released on DVD, it looks very good Something to add is that in Mexico there was a live presentation of Swan Lake I remember well that the media interviewed the girl who played Odette. Several people in a Facebook group remembered this after someone posted the photo of the Fairytopia musical. I tried to enter the Barbie website but there is nothing of that

@@crys_cornflakez There was a user who was in charge of publishing the filtered information, next to this filter the name of the movie and synopsis, even I created an entry in Wikipedia (which was eliminated but is accessible on Waybackmachine) It would be called "Barbie Mariposa Gold Wand" (which was transformed into Barbie Mariposa and the Fairy Princess) after this follow would Barbie Fairytopia: Magical Twist of Time where thever would get back in time and stop Elina getting all power, Elina would keep His memories and I would go with Mariposa to get the "Gold Wand" to return everything to what it was before since he would lose his wings

I was a HUGE Skye Sweetnam fan back in middle/high school, and I've been mad about the lost Barbie Diaries songs for at least 10 years now, lol. The worst part is that "Note To Self" was, of course, my absolute favorite and the one I wanted found in its full original version the most 😔

There's also a live show that was created for south America during 2008 and 2009 called "Barbie live princess adventures" which has the same plot as Barbie live but with Rapunzel,princess and the pauper and swan lake, there's only some promo material and some very bad quality videos of the princess and the pauper scenes, also the show seems to have Raquelle as the main villain telling Teresa to drop off acting and ends with Barbie and Teresa shooting diamond Castle and singing a spanish version of raise above it all from fairytopia

Braindumping every Barbie mystery I can remember coming across 1. The tie in Courtney doll for Rock n Royals plays a recording of Brittany McDonald (Barbie's singing voice from Secret Door) singing What If I Shine. There might not be a full version of her singing the song, but there definitely SHOULD be an actual high quality version of the song out there somewhere. 2. Arguably not Barbie, but there's not an official release of the version of the song Live by Jennifer Marks from My Scene: Masquerade Madness. The song features slightly different lyrics from the original. There are a couple recreations on KZbin but nothing official. 3. One of the first tie in books for Barbie and Her Sisters in a Pony Tale was called "Pink Boots and Ponytails" and claimed it was based on the movie to be released in the fall of that year. The book is about Barbie playing a cowgirl named Samantha, which has basically nothing to do with the plot of Pony Tale. The dolls (which are designed and finalized first) are of Barbie as an equestrian, so I don't think they had a whole movie planned out or anything, but there's a possibility that it's based on a concept that got scrapped in favor of Pony Tale. I mean the entire "story" is basically just a plot outline. 4. Why did you commission a whole musical style concept album based on Fairytopia 3 by the writer of the Fairytopia musical, Mattel? 👀 5. Really stretching the definition of lost media here, but there is no way that Star Light Adventure did not have more deleted content. That movie felt like there was a good 15 minutes cut for time. I want the storyboards/script drafts. Also I want to definitively know who Brooklyn Barbie's singing voice is in Big City, Big Dreams. Malibu's singing voice varies by movie but it's never her speaking voice. Idk if the same goes for Brooklyn. Her VA used to sing a lot on KZbin but generally in a higher register, so she sounds different but it's hard to say for certain if that's her or not. Mattel's pretty tight-lipped about that type of thing so it's not in the credits anywhere that Malibu even has a different singing voice. I have two similar Monster High mysteries to rant about but this comment is long enough already.

There was a Barbie and The Diamond Castle play in Argentina that had the same plot as “Barbie LIVE!” the story was that Barbie and Teresa were shooting the Diamond Castle movie but Teresa was not feeling confident so Barbie was trying to cheer her up

I have a few: There was a whole sountrack for magic of the rainbow implying the movie was originally a musical, but none of the songs appeared in the movie. There are several stage shiws and mall plays (which mostly are lipsynced songs) from Singapore and the Philippines. The Mermaidia DVD bonus features id say count kinda. Because the most recent copy (when they started re releasing the movies with redone childish and cartoonish covers) removed all the bonus features for no reason but the old copies are still easy to get so idk The Dancing on Air documentary was never released on the DVD of dancing princesses.

Also not movies but Barbie has had several doll line friends in other countries who never got released in America. Like in Mexico in the 70s she had Valerie, in Japan she had Ellie and Reina Matsuyama, and in Brazil she had a whole bunch of friends who were replacements for main friends in the 80s and 90s. Lia Douglas replaced Whitney, Viky Ward replaced Midge (one Viky was released at a convention in America, the only time a foreign friend was released in America), Diva (not Rockers Diva, Dalma Diva Lancaster a blonde girl) replaced kind of everyone else. There were also other random one time friends like Lara in their lights and lace line, and Deborah who replaced teresa in Hollywood hair. Christie, Kira, Teresa, Midge. In Brazil they didn't exist. Kira only got one doll (lights and lace) and most of the rockers were replaced with the main brazilian friend group and other unnamed ones depending on the year (Brazil had at least four different rockers lines). Rockers Diva only got released once and she had darker hair and a different outfit.

When I emailed Robbie Roth, he mentioned writing the Magic of the Rainbow album but didn't say anything about it being for a show. He specifically called it a "soundtrack" so I think that's all it was; just songs inspired by the movie as it says on the cover.

Okay so my friend and I thought it would be fun to come up with a fake Barble Sleeping Beauty movie concept so I poured a LOT of research into the history of Barbie Sleeping Beauty and there actually was a SEPERATE line of Sleeping Beauty dolls shortly before the Cinderella and Snow White ones. They had a prince, play sets, a gimmick doll, and at least one other doll with a similar design but no gimmick, and a gift set with a Kelly. Literally throw in one or two more Kellys, maybe a friend doll, and that's a whole movie line up. THERE WAS EVEN AN AD FOR THE SLEEPING BEAUTY LINE. It REALLY feels like they had something planned. Anyway, I've heard a third theory that the Sleeping Beauty movie was going to be one of the first three movies, but got scrapped and elements of it were recycled for Rapunzel (both princesses are originally saved from a tower, Barbie!Rapunzel is a secret princess like how Aurora is in the Disney version).

I’m not sure if this is even lost media, but I remember growing up waiting for the Princess Charm School drop and the trailers were a lot different from the finished movie. The main difference I think would be Blair’s "Barbie’s Two Best Friends™️" are very different from Hadley and Isla in the final film. I believe the trailer girls are also on the box art. Always intrigued me wondering if there were some very different or at least slightly different versions or cuts of the film. It might’ve been because the dolls hadn’t been fully developed and they went with slightly more diverse dolls in the final line (good choice and the final girls in the movie are great. Wouldn’t change them (although I never forgave Hadley for her really ugly school uniform lmao)) so the animators had to tweak the models. If anyone has any info on this or other Barbie mysteries please lmk lmao. Also!!! this video came at the perfect time. I love everything barbie movies. And you covered them beautifully. Really made my day hearing those fairytopia songs again and learning so much. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

In the original concept, Blair's main friends, were supposed to be Hadley and Delancy, that's why Isla wasn't included in the trailer since she was going to be Dame Devins daughter, also that's the reason she ended up not getting a doll, at some point the producers decided to switch up Delancy and Isla on the last minute, so they didn't had much time to change the doll production and the teasers that were already released.

Never thought It came out with the dolls, games, and short film, I don't know why they never made a movie about sleeping beauty instead of watching just a short film. I doubt that Sleeping Beauty movie was pre nutcracker because the reason Barbie movies were created was to create interest after Bratz came out.
