Barbie - Shy Boy (Dance Mix)

Straight from the Barbie Vault, this 1991 cassette-only single has been digitally restored for your listening pleasure.
I guess this was supposed to be a single from Barbie's "The Look" album (or, for those who bought the French version, "Le Look"). It contains two mixes - the Radio Mix, which is nearly identical to the version on the CD, and the Dance Mix, which is this six-minute mix.

Awesome job with the restoration! I'm guessing this album was Mattel's attempt at roping in pre-teen and teen audiences back to Barbie brand and cash-in on the dance music craze of the early 90s.

This restoration was done by the same company who were responsible for the Kelly Dream Club video also on my channel. They're also helping me out with another Barbie musical project that will be uploaded shortly... Honestly, I'm not too sure if this was the start of their turn to attract teen audiences back to the Barbie brand. They had the whole Barbie and the Rockers (sorry, I meant Sensatio- scratch that, Barbie and the Beat) thing in the late 80s, so this might have been a reboot of that whole idea? Nevertheless, this song is a certified BOP.

You're not wrong, but then again: *1.* This was early 90s; they were still using _real instruments_ and vocalists. *2.* This was made by Mattel, under the actual _Barbie_ brand. They had _quality control_ on the products they released😆 *.3.*To be fair, though, friend.... what _Doesn't_ sound better than that PoS?

My aunt had this cassette😭 she bought it in 1991 when she was 10- However she gave it away when she was going to college in the late 90s/early 2000s to a family friend
