OMG I've seen this amazing Ken on the Barbie forum I'm in and I'm in love with him! He's amazing and ur right, he looks american, or even polynesian in my opinion, and that's why I'd like to get him, so to make my custom american and polynesian Ken to match with the DOTW barbies. ❤️ Suddendly in my country he has not yet arrived and purchasing him online from abroad it's expencive, so I must patiently wait. 😩 Btw I love ur reviews, so detailed and showing every details of each doll. Thanks for the doll stand tip, silly me, I was just snapping them in. Also, I now have two of these dolls. I bought an extra one for re-dressing (and dinner parties with other dolls), while the other is on it's stand in original clothing.

I absolutely love The Barbie Looks collection, they are not easy to get in the UK sadly. Glad they have rooted hair, shame he's not more caramel tonned like the old kens used to be and a buff body like the superman/batman is much needed also. Can't wait to get the whole collection. From what I've understood the BMR line was cancelled in favour of the Extra line (and now the Looks). Some theorise it's because a Ken doll in the sketches that were leaked (I've never seen them so do not quote me on this being true) had pink heels and Mattel can obviously not stand for that, even in a line aimed at adults and not children 🙄

Remember that when they did the basics, they began with LBDs, the denim, then sparkle (flashy - only 3) and then some swim suits, and done. Wonder if it means they're done with Looks. The 1st wave has been hit or miss in US since it came out. Someone found Latina recently at Amazon for SRP but I haven't seen her anywhere for that, while all the others have come and gone. The 2nd wave petite has been at WM off and on.

So is "Looks" a continuation of Basics? I managed to collect the entire Basics line except for the 3 in 2.5 and the one in the purple swimsuit in 003. I've only got one " Looks" doll currently on his way so far but I didn't realize they shared the same type of stands and certificate of authenticity.I really wish that this line could have been called Barbie Basics 004 with the last wave which would make this wave either 4.5 or 005.
