WHAT A BLESSING that the doctor immediately checked her feet and made sure she avoided any unnecessary surgery. I was wondering why she seemed to be less advanced in the course of the disease at her age than most people I've seen in the past...it's GOT to be because of being diagnosed immediately by the first doctor to see signs.. I actually know someone personally that's dealing with this. I think she's 11 now. She has to fly to Florida to get the bones broken every few weeks. People that deal with this illness are so strong

Omg I’m so glad they did a video on this! A friend of my brother’s in my neighborhood has FOP and we do fundraisers and stuff for him as often as possible!! And I try explaining his condition to my other friends and they don’t really understand how serious it is. I knew there had to be others with it but all I’d ever heard of was our friend, so I’m glad people are starting to talk about it. I really really hope they can find a cure or a treatment asap!! 🙏

Wow. She's so strong. When it said that her jaw locked at seven, I felt that. My jaw has been locked for the past five months and we have no idea why, and I can only open it about an inch wide, so I really know how she feels with that specific aspect.
