This really made me 😢 I have multiple sclerosis and I found out because I became paralyzed basically overnight and I was 19. I’m so happy she’s trying to live her life and she’s not letting her disability control her. People don’t know how lucky they are and instead of judging, they should be thankful!! I think it’s so disrespectful to tell someone “they don’t look disabled” but there are people in the world that can’t help themselves. I really hope she gets control of her seizures. They look so scary and extremely dangerous 😢

I agree completely. Gratitude is as important as intention in this life.. otherwise it becomes so easy to lose our light..to lose ourselves and our way. When I am stressed, resentful, or feel myself depressed or heading in that direction, I slow muawld down and give thanks for every little thing. Even the most baaic of things because we take them for granted when we forget how much harder life would be without them. This is what keeps me going when life is it's hardest on me.

It’s really amazing that dogs have the ability to recognize seizures and when they’re happening. Ugh what an awful thing to go through and live with. But what incredible strength to continue to do so and to share her story. I can’t imagine suffering from this, but even more so to be continually called a liar and not believed about something happening to you. That has to probably be the worst part

All people who say/think "they don't look disabled" need a reality check! I've got a degenerative disease that causes a lot of pain and cluster headaches which are insane and although I don't look disabled I am not ok. Just remember there is a big net of what's disabled from not too bad to really severe but all deserve compassion and respect.

Omg this is so crazy! I’ve just been referred to a functional neurologist because I suddenly became paralyzed too!!! Some of my symptoms come and go but my weakness has developed all over my body. I’ve been undiagnosed for over a year and a half now. It’s been such a devastating life changing event. I’ve got fnd and not many people know about it including doctors, a lot of people get mis diagnosed and left there not being diagnosed for years, I got ignored by doctors when I was having tremors in my legs in hospital and one of them even said “get up and walk”, I was 9, u can’t just tell a 9 year old to get up and walk when I clearly couldn’t, long story short I get tremors in my legs and weakness in them, wishing u luck ❤💕

Love her and her mum for being so brave and being there for each other. I suffered a stroke close to 10 years ago, and have still not regained all of my ability, I don't think I ever will. But it's all about getting better and never losing hope. Please try and incorporate as many movement based activities as you can in your lifestyle. The brain recovers miraculously with it, trust me. Iam a dancer, and do have progressive peripheral neuropathy, but dance has helped me maintain control of my extremities. As much as is possible. Good luck to you, beautiful woman💜

When I feel I'm struggling or if I feel "my life is getting too hard" or if I'm in pain (i have a chronic disease but honestly it's veeeeeen mild slightly annoying if anything) i watch this videos and these people inspire to give my best. You always see them with a smile on their face and talking about what they CAN do rather what they can't. When I got sick with severe Rheumatoid Arthritis I remember a co-worker who was a therapist who asked if I wasn’t just b n a hypochondriac. I was so sick and couldn’t walk and he asked me that question. He ate crow when I got the diagnosis and he did apologize but often I look fine but nobody knows the severe pain and deformities I endure and have acquired. I am always sick but unless I am struggling walking I may look fine which isn’t true. I even get looks when I park n handicapped spaces because people don’t realize that I may walk into a store fine and not be able to make it out fine in a matter of minutes. Now I am not fussing because these viewpoints r normal because we as humans judge with our senses, mostly our eyes so for those of us who struggle let’s give people a pass and educate if possible. I just told all of my coworkers that I am hearing impaired because of this disease and nobody knew but it was time for me to share that I wear hearing aides and that I need help sometimes. It was hard to do but I am glad I took the leap to educate. It is okay sometimes

Oh darling, my heart breaks for you, and also for your mother. My daughter doesn't have FND, but she does have epilepsy. Uncontrolled epilepsy. Everything your mum said is absolutely true. It's heartbreaking to watch your child in a seizure. It's even more heartbreaking when we as mother's can't prevent these seizures. I feel guilty when I can't prevent my daughter from falling and hurting herself, resulting in an ambulance ride to the hospital. I'm so glad you have a beautiful family who love and care and support you. You should be very proud of yourself for being so determined and strong.

I used to have frequent seizures so the statement she made about trying so hard to not let it happen really hit home. I know how that feels. They used to come on at the least convenient times. I had more out in public than at home which was VERY embarrassing due to having bladder and bowel incontinence nearly every time I seized. Never qualified for a dog or anything to help though. Not was I ever paralyzed. Temporarily maybe but never long term.

I can completely relate to what she is going through. In March of 2018 I slipped into a coma for almost a month. The doctors told my grown kids that my brain wouldn’t stop swelling, and for them to plan my final expenses. I was blessed that I came out of the coma, but quickly found out that I now suffer from seizures and panic attacks. I have had times when the seizures caused me to not be able to walk, or function normally. I pray for the both of us that doctors will find something that will stop our seizures, and my serious panic attacks. 🙏

That sounds incredible. You are young healthy people and all of a sudden.... this can happen to anybody anytime. Those who are 100% alright can be sitting in a wheel chair tomorrow. There is a Scripture in the Bible about a time yet to come : lsaiah 35 : 5, 6 " At the time the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Yes, that would be not only so helpful, but so healing! These animals xan be so incredibly expensive though. Butbaje has a following and could kost likely raise the funds! But at least she has her one dog that does help and has saved her life before. But a dog that iabtraijes for it would be less stressed than how her dog gets when she goes through a seizure as showed in the video.

As someone who also has physical disabilities and chronic illness I myself have lost count of how many times people have told me .."Well you do not look disabled". What does someone with disabilities supposed to look like? People can be so darn ignorant and judgemental. They have no idea what we go through on a daily basis and how difficult life can be last thing we need is being accused of faking our illnesses, chronic pain or physical disabilities or conditions. Plz try yoga. There is some thing called anulom vilom. In India people have even cured their cancer while practising yoga for years. Do anulom vilom. Watch it on KZbin by swami ramdev. If you do for two hours daily you will see the results within a year or maybe before that. God bless you. I wish people knew about these yogas more :(

Thank you for sharing your story with us. I could see some of the light and the dark within her life. The light when she’s with her brother, just chilling and living life in her backyard with her dogs and enjoying the nice weather outside, fading into the darkness when she randomly has a seizure and her brother drops everything to comfort his sister. To the gray area when everything ends up alright and she regains her consciousness and her train of thought. Even though it was scary, she got up again. Even though she doesn’t know if she might end up blind, or paralyzed again after this seizure, she faces another day and is grateful for every moment. Doesn’t mean some days will be harder than others, but she continues never the less. In a sense, that’s how we all should strive to live life. Because we never know what the next second holds.

Twice my brother-in-law became paralyzed after having seizures. The second time he was in the hospital for months. He still has seizures today and has to be watched carefully. He has other special needs and is so sweet. I myself suffered with seizures for a long time. Mine is controlled by medication. I to was told I did not look disabled. That's so interesting I've known people that have done EMDR fortrauma and I was looking into it with my therapist as as well I never thought of it for somebody that had seizures. I have however been sitting next to a friend that went into a full body GM seizure and it was the scariest thing I've ever seen so God-bless her..

I used to work with a guy that had epilepsy that would cause him to black out very much like this. You'd be talking to him and within a couple of seconds he would just drop to the floor. It would take him a good 20 minutes or so after walking up to realise who he was or where he was, it was really scary at times. A few times he would even black out whilst cycling to work, luckily he's never had any serious injuries.

Crazy how the disorder just happened all of a sudden. The brain is a mysterious organ. I too am dealing with neurological issues (although mine happen right after I got the vax). It's Horrible. I have several chronic illnesses that have left me disabled and the thing I hate most is people telling me I don't look disabled. As if disabilty has an image.... it irks me!! Some days are great and other days are miserable and I need a wheelchair to get around out side of the house if I'm even able to leave home that day. There is a seat in hell for people who pull the "you don't look disabled/sick" line. A lot of disabilities and illnesses are invisible! Disabled people don't need to "prove" their disabilities to anyone!

As someone who also experiences a chronic illness, needing your mom to clarify/know that she knows the answer to all your treatment questions even when you don't warms me, for example, I ask my mom once a year what I've been diagnosed with cause I always forget but she doesn't and that makes me also sad knowing my life/illness is impacting her that much more than me.

There's evidence to suggest that FND is caused by anxiety and emotional distress. I don't know what to think about that, my neighbour had it and was so unwell.

I also have FND, was diagnosed about 7 years ago when I kept having seizures. I went into a period of remission and then they came back and haven’t gone away. Other symptoms I have is bladder retention, blindness, I can go unresponsive, lose feeling in my legs, trouble swallowing, nausea and vomiting, dystonia and severe tics.

I will never understand why people feel the need to be so mean! We can't control everything that happens to us and to be so downright mean and nasty about someone's "differences" is ridiculous! We should he supporting each other and learning about these things!

I also have conversion disorder, seizures and ticks are a big thing going on right now, I’ve had paralysis but never lasted more then 3 days. Unfortunately a couple years ago I had a seizure at the top of my stairs and fell down all them. I had dislocated my shoulder and broken my neck and caller bone was horrible, been about 2 weeks since my last seizure thank god I’ve been doing better , hang in there lovely you aren’t alone
