Brillitant Idea, just one question: Is using GPS only tachimeters even legal? I do not know the British MOT system but my guess is that in other parts of Europe (at least) this wouldn't fly. Here in CH I would at least doubt it they would probably question how do you know your speed in a tunnel or other spots without GPS signal? Also I would add some connection to the bikes electrical system so I do not need to worry about the battery failing mid ride.

Im currently doing research into gps speedometers after I purchased this exact one, I found some daylight especially when these was reflection off it at me I couldn't read the screen at all, I really like this one but after having mine for over a year now there was lots of cases of this. I'm only just having a quick think now about what could help minimise this and im thinking if it was housed in a recess that faced me of course something like that would work, at night time though holy moly this thing is visible from ages away and extremely clear!!

Hi Del, I get that you are doing a bare bones Busa but i think a GSXR 750 dash from the 98 ish era would have looked good. My one and only street fighter was a GSX 600 teapot and the GSXR race dash looked superb, probably the best bit of the build looking back. You have probably guessed I am more of a traditionalist with my bikes, that said i do enjoy seeing the fabrication work being done.

Surprisingly he had not a single bit of content on his channel for me to check out his level of expertise so I politely replied saying that we’re all entitled to an opinion and asked if he’s ever done a build. He said no never had done a build or restoration but his family used to be in some sort of bike trade so that must be were the expert opinion came from.

As always, Del, good job well done. And as someone else put, I may have been tempted to put a couple of drainage holes, and maybe a way to hardwire a power supply?🤷‍♂️ That said, I'm loving the way the Busa is coming together. Stay well, and much love to both yourself and PP too😍

Good job, Del! You told that all you need is to see the speed. What about the neutral, high beam, oil and indicator lights? Also, you'll need to see when the tank is full or empty. Those informations are necessary, so it'd be great if you add them.

Yes we imagine something first and then it is created 😀 Reading those words of wisdom Del starting off your video reminded me of this verse from Ephesians 1:18 And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], For the same Greek word for enlightened is the same word imagination and we also get our English word photography from. You and Penny's videography skill are truly blessed with so much imagination love the rich tea Del crumbs you are good x

Cool job looks real good!! Of course we both agree it would have looked even better set a bit lower in and as others have said drain holes will be a good idea too! Keep on with the excellent and inspirational work Del, as well as the excellent recovery!! God bless!! :)

Yeah, i would have loved to hide it totally behind the cover.. but then i couldn't get the key in... so compromise aye.. and ill make a hole to poke a USB lead in the bottom right corner.. it'll drain just fine through there if ever it get's that much water in it..!
