Good form. Make sure your limbs are aligned, relax your grip a little more, and try moving your plunger button in and out and see how that affects your aiming point. Keep after it and you will get there.

mike's got the right idea of how to set up his bow. Since your mounting options are limited i'd suggest getting a yost mojo in the center stab position and rotate it counterclock wise untill you get rid of the torque upon release. Then a small weight in top & bottom and it'll pretty much feel like a different bow. If you have access to someone with a mantis x8, it'll definatly show up in the stats. if not, blank bale till it feels good and jumps straight forward. There's too many people with improper weight placement on their bows in this division it's mindboggling really.

Great shooting! I just migrated to barebow as well! I have been watching your channel since you debuted your Ben Pearsons! I was struggling with trying to hold my New Barebow rig on target. I added more tiller (increased brace height on lower limb slightly) and that definitely helped with my hold and accuracy! My Ben Pearsons bows are getting jealous.

Mike, is a great shooter so you shot about a 250 next to one of the better Barebow shooters in the game.... lots of pressure! Great result!

Thanks, But I have a funny feeling your average is well above that!

@@3DArchery nooo. I average high 240’s, you are a way better archer than me. Btw loving these and want to see you shoot 3d with barebow too. Put to 33 yards.

Ya done good, don't give up, stick with it, work on form, yer definitely getting "there"!!! It may very well be impossible to get bare shafts to smack fletched shafts - this is true for the "pros" too - so just accept that and move on. There are SO many variables to consider and if you don't luck out with bare shafting in a short time, let it go. Besides a proper test setup for string nock point, where the arrow sits on the rest with regards to the bow's centerline is important (on the center or slightly outboard) - then use plunger tension to adjust left/right as need be. Bare shafting at 10yds is minimum, but 20yds is best to see how the bare shaft both flies and enters the target. Videoing this and playing back in slo-mo can be revealing for up/down porpoise and left/right fishtail - DO NOT LET bare/fletched shaft grouping bug ya!!! It's the FLIGHT of the bare shaft that matters most. Have fun!!!

Great video. Greg, you mention you are going to experiment with point weight? That will be fun to see. If you do, could you Please include FOC values along with point weights? Thanks much.

@colingregory746411 ай бұрын
One thing I would suggest is that you appear to be upset about the dodgy scores (or at least concerned), if you shoot a good arrow and it scores well (great), if you shoot a bad arrow it should probably score badly, fix the problem with bad shot and move on, if you get a bad shot that scores well accept it but do not expect it. The score is an indication of how well you shot, the goal is to shoot well, not score well ! The one will result from the other (IMHO !!!)

Greg those arrows aint flyin right. You need "spin wing" fletching. That will take care of all your barebow woes.

@@3DArchery I think it's because the exclusive Barebow comunity has not let you into their secret group. They are trying to suppress you and keep you a traditional archer. >>>-------> ;-)

Thanks for the info, also could not note if you also had a plunger. When I lived in Mesa, AZ in the early 70's I would go for an evening shoot at the Fisher's residence where they had an outdoor range set up. I learned a lot from the Fisher's glad to note their son took over the business. They were also quite helpful in lobbing for an archery range at that time for Usery Mountain Park.@@3DArchery

Form is the big culprit. Also notice the bow canting. Seems your bad shots the bow was canting more. Try keeping the bow vertical. If plunger is set up for a vertical bow the arrow is not going to hit correctly if there is cant.
